What is your primary concealed carry weapon? And why do you choose that one? I always enjoy hearing what and why from others...Sometimes you run into interesting stories or great ideas.....

I myself carry a Taurus 650 snubbie in 357. cal.. It holds 5 rounds of Blazer hollowpoints and I carry it wherever I go....And I enjoy that pistol..alot of folks here aren't fond of the Brazilian made Taurus but I enjoy it because of its light weight and the stopping power its rounds carry....

When going into more urban areas in PA on top of my snubbie, I also carry my 5 shot Cobra Ind. 380. pistol w/ Federal Hydroshocks. I keep it in the glovebox so that if I am in the store with my pistol on me and someone attempts to attack or do no good to my wife then it is easily accessible to her to use in defense and not to mention that little pee shooter is the only pistol I own that she will shoot comfortably other then my Glock 17 but that Cobra is a little more compact for travel.

Anyhow just curious about yalls....And please don't be tearing other peoples guns and methods apart. Like I said everyone has there guns and reasons...Even me and my Brazilian Taurus.:neener:

No "primary", I carry different guns for different occasions, however they are all "DAO" with similar trigger pulls and operating systems.

On-duty - Beretta MiniCougar 8000D 9mm
Off-duty - Kahr CW9
BUG - Kel-tec P3AT (also for when circumstances don't allow something bigger)

Future BUG/Off-duty - S&W 360J scandium snubby, it is currently enroute to Pinnacle High Performance to be converted to 9mm and have some other work done.

My primary carry weapon is my 5" Kimber Custom II .45acp. I purchased it primarily as a range toy but after 2,500-3,000 rounds and no major malfunctions, and the ability to tear the x ring out of a half scale silhouette at 25 yards... it has proven to me to be worthy.

That plus the fact that it is super easy to conceal and its pretty.

I absolutely love it.

I carry a Kel-Tec PF-9. More power than my P3AT, and almost as easy to pocket. The only reason I would change is if K-T starts making a P4T5...

My Stainless II. It's the most accurate handgun I have ever fired, and just like Ske1etor said about his Custom II, no major malfunctions. Had two failures to feed, but changed brand of magazines, and no more problems. Put some trijicon sights on it earlier in the year, and just got some crimson trace grips for it .

1911's, cause I like em. I also find them easy to conceal, and they are .45's.

I also occasionally carry a snubby, keltec, or sig 229/250.

FEG BR61 in 9x18 Mak or S&W Mod 431 in .32 H&R mag, depending on which one I feel like, and which method of carry I'm going to use.

Around town my primary carry weapon is my Bersa .380 with Hornady 90gr. JHP/XTP, back up is an NAA mini .22 with CCI mini mags. Up in the mountains and in the fall/winter primary is my Blackhawk .44 mag. Sometimes just for fun I'll carry my wifes Taurus 85 with Remington UMC +P. The Bersa was bought on impluse when my old primary broke(RG25 auto=junk), it fits my hand like a glove. Only a couple of miss feeds, changed ammo, no more miss feeds.

I have two... S&W M&P 40c is my "most of the time" primary carry weapon. Why? Because it fits me like a glove, I shoot it accurately and it has never hiccuped on me.

My other carry weapon is my Model 60 J frame in 357. Don't like it nearly as much as the 40c, haven't quite figured out why...

It varies

50% of the time is a Glock 26: It carries for me like a .38 snubby yet has eleven rounds of 147 gr HST on tap. When on my nightstand I can slip in a 15 rd mag and also use that if concealment allows. 9mm is cheap ammo allowing alot of practice and very minimal recoil for fast follow-ups

50% of the time is Ruger LCP: I only say so much because it's intended as a "can't carry anything else gun" and only use it in that role when I go out but it gets a lot of time as my around the house/running around the block gun. I like my guns locked up but to keep prepared I feel nothing compares to this gun. In my boxers it clips on the waistband and offers me protection to cover the average citizens use of a firearm situation. I can rip the x ring out at ten yards with it now and do so quickly. My only problem is ammo choice. I keep jumping from Golden Saber bjhp to FMJ rounds.

These of course are only intended to get me to the safe full of goodies should I be defending my castle, or to get out of Dodge and back to my castel if situation warrants it.

XD9SC, but will soon be picking up a 642 for when pocket carry is required. My XD9SC fits my hand like a glove, is comfortable IWB, and is very accurate for a SC.

Like WC145, I have no single carry gun.

BUG- Ruger LCP
Primaries are either S&W M&P9c, or Ruger Sp101 3" (gemini customs).

Why? Well, the M&P fits me perfectly, points naturally and i get 13 rounds of 9mm HPs. It's also never failed.

The Sp101- becuase it is the MOST natural pointing gun i own, I love it dearly, and because 158gr GDHPs moving at 1300fps are biiiiig medicine.

What is your primary concealed carry weapon?
My primary is a S&W 3913 with Federal Hydrashok 9MM 124 grain ammo.
My BUG is a Kel-Tec P3AT with Remington Golden Saber JHP 105 grain ammo.

And why do you choose that one?
I like the thinness of the single stack. The 3913 also feels obscenely good to my hand. I am also more accurate with this handgun than any other in my collection. It's also never jammed or misfired. 100% reliability is hard to beat.

The P3AT is used because it's super small and thin, and is an adequate BUG.

My primary carry is a CZ75B, My secondary is a CZ2075 RAMI. both .40 S&W.

Why

Accuracy

Concealability

Both give me the option of DA/SA or condition one carry.

Both are essentially the same platform, as is DW's CZ-82, no learning curve.

they're CZs

I've seen other guns as good as but never better

On the days I can carry what I choose:

Primary (meaning the one most likely to be presented first in self-defense):

SW 386 with Crimson Trace grips and loaded with Nyclad 158 gr .38s. This gun is so light it doesn't sag the pocket (I have to be careful not to put it in the washing machine with the pants!). It's a great up-close gun, and maybe the laser will make them stop before I shoot, who knows. I can have the gun drawn before it leaves the pocket (still concealed), if I'm waiting to see what happens.

Secondary (I've emptied the .38 in self-defense)

Glock 20 135 gr Corbons. If I'm now dealing with concealed attackers farther away, this round should allow me to get to them (or get to my rifle). I carry it because I can conceal it (big gun) and because I can fire it well at the range.

Oh, yeah--The plastic frame on the Glock doesn't catch on the lining of my nice dress jackets, so this way my wife doesn't kill me for ruining them. See? The Glock's saved my life already!

Stay safe!

Glock 19 Gen 2 loaded with 9PBLE (115 gr +P+). TruGlo sights and a 4 lb trigger.

I started off, over 20 years ago, carrying a custom LW .45 Commander with a 5” barrel loaded with HS ammo. Still not a bad choice, by any means.

I went to the Glock because I can shoot it faster and with better accuracy. It always functions 100%, which I can’t say about any 1911 I’ve owned – probably about 15 of them. The Glock holds 16 rounds; twice as many as the 1911. My spare mag is a Glock 17 mag with a +2 floorplate which gives me 35 rounds with only one mag change.

Backup is a P3AT loaded with Corbon.

2" ruger SP101

why?
easily concealable. heavy enough to handle hot loads. light enough (for me) to carry all day. fires a round i am confident in and comfortable with. it's a platform my wife is also comfortable with.

i'd like to mix it up with a commander-sized 1911 sometimes, but i have to wait for the wife to say the funds are available. we have a kid on the way, so gun expenses have been moved way down the priority list.

Springfield Armory 'Loaded' 5" model stocked w/ Fed. HST

Its a full size fighting gun but thinner than my HK45 and more punch than my USP 40
