What new guns do you expect to see next year

The Kel-Tec bullpup shotgun in production.

The Boberg XR-9S in higher production (deliveries are being made but the waiting list is long).

A winning lottery ticket so I can by the Ed Brown 1911 I have all picked out.

If Marlin can get their act together I have a suggestion to revamp their lever action line.

1) Move all of their square bolt side-ejects into a "Classic" or "Legendary" category. Re-introduce the model 1893 (1936) into that line along with the 1894 and 39A lines. Cater to the cowboy action and legacy crowd. I want a brand new 1893 in 30-30, case hardened receiver, please.

2) Design a scaled-down 336 for .22 and .22 Magnum. Make this the premier .22 lever action of all time, several grades of quality up to a gloss-stock + some engraving for a "special edition". Stainless would be a very good option. Keep the 336's, 1895's and .444 coming right along.

You can't lose with this line up. Just make 'em right.

Word on the street is a new company called Skynet will be releasing a phased plasma rifle. And it will have a 40 Watt range!

I expect to see more plastic wonder 9mm's that will be called "pocket 9's" except they still won't fit in any normal pocket.

I think we are going to see more guns available stock with threaded barrels because I think the Suppressor movement is catching steam and I think in the next few years (maybe not 2012) we will at least see suppressors move to AOW status.

I would like to see an inexpensive .308rifle that is semi-auto

I would also like to see a true budget AR (under $500)

I was thinking more pocket 9s too. Who doesn't make one these days?

I hope to see some smaller .22 pistols too, smaller than my P22. Baby Browning sized pistols would be awesome.

Think a 9mm P238 sounds...likely. Been lobbying big time for a .327 Rossi and I have high hopes.

I was going to say RMR and KSG but somebody beat me to them. Oh, and a respectable number of .300 Blackout rifles will be hitting the streets.

Besides the new 9mm Sig 238.. I think a single stack m&p would be pretty sweet. Also some more single stack glocks?

9mm 1911 between the Mustang and Officer's model in size. IOW more EMP sized guns.

magpul is coming out with shotgun accessories, the for-end looks super nice, id like to see a pistol grip with collapsable/folding stock though in addition to the more traditonal buttstock they plan on producing

I just hope we don't see a year of anti gun regulations being cranked out by various government agencies. I wonder if many gun manufacturers will bring out much in the way of new models until they see what happens next November.

K frame sized 5-shot .45 Colt with no lock from S&W

Saiga 12 PMags

Other than that, I'd like to win the lotto so I can retire and start making a reality out of all the ideas floating around in my head.

Cokeman - which of the two possibilities pictured are you hoping for in 2012?

It's just hard to improve on a Remington 700, 870 or 1100. That pretty much covers it for me in the hunting area.

There must not be much hunting these days.

Just because a gun isn't for hunting doesn't mean it's for "shooting someone". I personally hunt (mostly duck hunting these days - I only drug myself out deer hunting once this year), but over time I've just found that I find target shooting much more fun and relaxing than hunting.

As another user also indicated, there's simply not that much to do on the hunting side as far as weapons advancement. I've already got a few bolt action rifles and shotguns for hunting. Just personally, my bases are covered - nothing further interests me there.
