What revolver do you carry

If I'm belt carrying, I carry a SP101 in a leather pancake 99% of the time. For those occasions, when I'm wearing a suit I carry a Colt Cobra in the same pancake. The lighter package doesn't tug down dress pants like the SP does. If I'm pocket carrying, I carry an Colt Agent simply dropped in my front pocket.

What makes a daimondback different from a det. spl.?

Top strap (section of the frame above the cylinder) is thicker (which obviously leads into the thicker vented barrel)
2.75 inch barrel
as you mentioned, adjustable sights.

Also the action, while of the same design, is hand fitted and tuned to Python smoothness.

BTW, a tuned Detective Special is, perhaps, the finest snub revolver ever made.

No snag sights are a big plus.

I had a 3rd generation DS that I gave to a buddy.
A truly great gun.

Detective Special here, too. It's a "shooter" version of my very nice Cobra, both second generation. I purse carry with a pocket holster placed in a small messenger bag that I can put in my larger tote bag or clip to my belt loops. It's a little heavy when clipped to belt loops but so far is the best way I've found to carry on on my body.

I've thought about getting a small semi-auto that's easier to conceal, but I just don't care for them.

An SP101 is my everyday back-up. Primary sidearm is either a 5"1911 or 4" GP100..depending upon my mood. Realize that's not very scientific. The truth is I like 'em both..and carry both.

K frame model 10 and Taurus 605 in 357 mag. Both are snub nose. Great guns and real shooters.

Right now it's a security six or a blackhawk but not in public just oc on the property. I'm in the market for a snubnose 38 as we speak. I was eyeing a chiefs special but the price wasn't right.

That rhino makes me curious.

I like My Taurus 905 9mm....

Wife likes her Taurus 85 Ultralite .38 spl.

And when we travel those two are usually on us, and a Beretta or Taurus 9mm auto and 1911 .45 close by.

My brother bought it to carry when he was jogging. He replaced it with a Ruger LCP. I bought it from him and wore it in a Galco IWB holster. His wife wanted her own small gun, and I gave it to her as a wedding present. She is not too fond of revolvers and "adopted" his Glock instead. He gave it back to me for my birthday, this time with a Clipdraw holster attached.

This is my summertime gun usually. It hides better than my XD9 with only a T-shirt as cover. Would have never bought a Clipdraw myself, but I like the no-bulk carry it offers, so I will keep it.

I will go with either my 360SC, or my SP101 (327FM) both are nice to carry.
If its not one of them it has to be a 1911...

Here are my carry revolvers:

I use a combo of IWB and OWB...depending on how I am dressed and what I am planning on doing that day.

I have a "pack gun" for my hiking expeditions into the mountains. A Taurus Tracker in .44. Light weight and will accept a 300 grain XTP.

Waiting for this one to come back. It needed a slight tweaking at the gunsmith. S&W 1917 snubbie.

When I do carry a wheelgun, it's usually one of my two Charter Arms Undercovers. One of them I purchased new in December of 1987, the day I was hired as a cop. The second I inherited in December of 2010 from my dad, who had also used it as a LEO. The serial number on his dates it in 1967.
Lately, I have also been carrying my Ruger Service Six (also inherited when my dad died) on occasion, to test my ability to CC a full-sized service revolver. I have only a couple of shirts long enough to cover it, though, so it's far from a frequent thing.

Have we had a thread like this?

I just got my detective special, am way excited and want to hear about your snubbies
the Detective Special is a nice little gun. my mother has had one for years, and carried it every day.

i currently don't own any; i sold mine to fund other purchases, or to pay bills. but i did own, and religiously carry, a S&W Model 642 (no lock), and a Taurus UL85. the S&W had a better fit and finish, and carried better in the pocket. the Taurus was easier to shoot, and was faster on follow up shots (the barrel had custom porting).

i miss them both, and hope to buy another 642, at least. another revolver i have in mind is the Ruger SP101. my good friend has one that he lets me shoot regularly. it's not a lightweight gun, but it shoots better than any revolver i've ever shot.

I have a few to pick from. For open carry a Rossi 971VRC, S.S., .357 mag. or a S&W 1917 ARMY MOD.in .45acp. .For CC, a S&W mod. 638 or S&W mod.642 . Both the snubs have C.T.laser grips. All 4 are great guns & I can shoot them well. For deep CC I use a NAA Blackwidow in .22mag. These are working guns but I shoot them for fun also.
