What was the first revolver you ever shot, and what was the first one you purchased?

First one I shot was some kind of 22 revolver, at the gravel pit with a friend of my parents. I was probably about 7 years old.

Didn't own one until I was in my 30's, and the first I bought was a Smith 460XVR.

First revolver I ever shot was a Smith & Wesson Model 10 with a 4 inch barrel.

The action was very smooth. I liked it so much I bought it and still have it 40 years later and many thousands of rounds later. I used it in competitons for USPSA and for NRA Bullseye matches and won many of them.

I later installed an Aristocrat Rib Sight on it so I could adjust my hits.

Since them I've had a number of Smith revolvers. My latest acquisition is the 929, 9mm Eight shot for Steel Challenge matches.
:)

First shoot and purchased was a S&W 686. Then on to the 629 (44Mag) and then bought a used S&W 38 Special. Yea, I do things backwards at times.

First one shot: FIE .22LR single action that was barely functional at age 10. My dad soon replaced it with a Single Six, and then bought a Taurus .357 a few years later.

The first revolver I ever purchased was a Dan Wesson .44 Magnum. It was a pile of junk.
