New England "Pardner" 20-gauge, break-action shotgun. I traded it towards an H&R Handi-rifle two years later (last summer).

I had just turned 18....

and I bought a Browning .22 lever action. Now almost 40 years later and close to 500,000 rounds on that gun I still have it and it is still a great shooter. Lets see I burned close to 2 bricks each weekend at my uncles farm until I got married at 25 so that would be about 50,000 rounds a year (yes we did this almost every weekend except Christmas) times about 6.5 years nope not 500K but 325K plus what I have shot since then which is still a lot of use for a good shooter. At 21 I expanded and bought my first .45 and a reloader that is when I really started shooting in earnest.

mossberg 500 and I had to send it back as it wouldn't pump after it fired one shot-but they fixed it and it's worked ever since

My first firearm purchase as an adult was a J.C. Higgins lever-action 30-30 from Sears while a student in Atlanta in the 1960's - probably age 18. Kept it in my dorm room - no one thought anything of it. Later traded it off for a set of headers to hop-up my car.

I had a few before that were inherited but my first purchase was a Yugo SKS when I was 19-20 i guess. Sort of an act of rebellion since my folks wouldn't let me take my other guns to college. When I turned 21 and got my CCW, I got a Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro in 9mm. Still have that but looking to upgrade. Its been a downward slide for my bank account ever since

A Stevens? .410 when I was 11 years old. I was stupid...I sold it at 15 after having totally rebuilt it (re-blued, re-finished stock). It was a Gorgeous gun...I was so stupid for selling it. A real squirrel mangler it was!

The first gun I bought for myself was a HK USP 9c in 2001...

My parents bought me a Henry Repeating Arms .22 Survival Rifle in 1978...

I was 8 years old.

I remember clearly...

First was a Marlin Model 60 Glenfield, purchased on or about my 18th birthday. Second, about three months later, was a Colt SP1 AR-15.

I was 12 years old when I bought my first gun in 1946. I had two paper routes and from the proceeds, about four dollars a week, I paid fifty cents a week on the rifle, a used .22 Remington bolt action repeater. It took me nine months to pay it off. I was thirteen when I finally took possession. Man, was I proud of that gun. Nobody thought a thing about a store selling a gun to a twelve year old.

mine will be a gsg-5 or a masada (what ever bushmaster is calling it now)

i cant wait till september till then i just have to live with guns being randomly gifted to me *sigh* lol

A NM Ruger Super Single Six, bought new in 1975....stolen from me in 1977. My Dad filled out the paperwork, I was 16....
