This is silly; I need to go buy something new. My last purchase was an Izhmash CM-2 .22 target rifle;

but this doesn't count (I found out after picking the rifle up that apparently this rifle was displayed at the 2002 SHOT show and they modified the firing pin to be non-working- but didn't re-modify it when it was released to my dealer... I'm brushing up on my Russian :D ).

I need to purchase a FUNCTIONAL firearm.

Latest purchase was a 1938 Mosin Nagant with laminated stock and its cousin, a MN 91/59.

No pics yet as they're still making their way here from Ohio. These are the last for a long time, I swear it. Dang C&R anyway.:uhoh:

No pics, but I picked up a nice ruger 77/22 w/ bushnell 3-9x scope in exc cond at a gun show 3/3. Shoots great! The crows may not like it though.:D

About six weeks ago I picked up a Marlin 1895 in .45-70, it's my first lever gun and I love it.

I can't believe I have to post in this latest firearm purchase thread again... but I am happy to be doing it!

Just fired my USP40 yesterday, and picked up a used, like new, chrome Kel Tec P-32 today. Got tired of saying to myself, this money could go toward getting the Kel Tec... thank goodness for credit!

And because my wife is strange, I picked up a Walther P99 for her finally, on my card, since she forgot her card. She didn't want to leave it since it was a very nice one, used, for a lot less than we have seen around here. So, she wants me to pick a gun to put on her card, to exchange for the P99 which is on my card, instead of just paying me to pay off my card for her gun... okay, I'll pick something out!

SP101

About a month ago....it's my carry gun.I love it...although now I'm thinking 1911.............................:D

Stevie ....... my dilemma would be which gun to give my wife ... period!!!! She can shoot most but so far has not asked to keep one. In theory I want her to have her own but ..... damned if I can decide which one I should give up if that were the case!!

Selfish SOB I am .... I want em all....... all the time!!

Guess it'd be a case of buy her one specially ... and another of same sort for myself ...... so I didn't feel ''left out''!:D

My latest acquisition is a 1960's National Ordnance M1Carbine that I traded a Marlin Camp Carbine for.

I now have 2 M1 Carbines with little invested. Both are Nat. Ord. non USGI built, but used all USGI parts.---------Chainsaw

This month?

A Yugo SKS, a M1908 Brazilian Mauser, an 8mm FN49 and a Austro-Hungarian M95 Mannlicher straight pull long rifle still in the original chambering.:D :D :D :D

Nice Model 27 Phil in Seattle; I have a 5" in the wood presentation box, unfired- and I havn't had the heart to turn the cylinder. Love them N frames.

Since the first of the year I have gotten a few new toys, and only lost one. I sold my ChiCom SVD and have purchased a Beretta M9, an Saiga 12ga (which I am selling to get the LEO version, just in case anyone is interested drop me a line for pics and details), a Remington 700PSS and some glass for it, a LAR .50 and glass, and a couple of .45's

It has been a good year so far, but I think I am down to just two more rifles before I move into suppressors. Anyone know if a suppressor manufacturer gives a discount if you buy multiple units? I need a .22, 5.56, 7.62, 9mm, and .45. I had thought about getting one for the .50 too, but figured it would not be worth it. Anyone have experience with .50 suppressors?

My latest is a little backup piece

A stainless AMT .380 Backup.....Needed a backup piece small enough to pack in the midst of Blissninnie turf in Sillycone Valley.:p Bought the piece in one of the few remaining stores that sell handguns in the SF Bay Area... Took me over an hour of paperwork, checks, "Safety Instructions", demonstrating safe useage. repeated apologies from the clerk, paying 'fees' (Lots of those) in addition to the sticker price, state tax, whatever. Got the little weapon - after a 10-day 'cooling off' period, I had a bit of an argument with the clerk about the triggerlock, seems I was supposed to leave the store with this thing locked firmly to the gun = Surprise! I had alredy had the piece enterd onto my California CCW permit (I come from a county with a gun friendly Sheriff) Bought the Damn lock, dropped it in a bag, dropped the gun in my jacket pocket... left.
Now that I know the drill, stupid and expensive and time consuming as it is, if I find anything else I want, I'll likely get it too (now that the "One Handgun a Month" prohibition has run out.
 = Life in a "Socialist Utopia!"..... OK, Rave Mode 'OFF'.
The little .380 shoots well at 15 feet and weighs about a pound... 3 more shots than a Derringer... hope I never have to use it...But:neener:
