OK I'll play:

1.- AR-15, select-fire, suppressed Mk.18 clone
2.- AR-15, 18" Mk.12 Mod 0 SPR
3.- HK MP5A5
4.- Thompson Submachine Gun :)
5.- FN Mk.48 Mod 0 (7.62mm version of the M249 SAW)
6.- FN-FAL
7.- AKM
8.- AK-74
9.- AK-105
10.- FN SCAR-H
11.- lever-action .30-30, either a Winchester 94 or a Marlin 336 (either one is fine, as I like both)
12.- Mossberg 590A1
13.- Benelli M4 Super 90
14.- Springfield 1911A1 Loaded, stainless
15.- Sig Sauer P226 Elite, suppressed

I could have all my dream guns if the OP had said 25 instead of 15, but I think all my bases are covered with the above list. I would only add a CETME-L, Mosin-Nagant, Dragunov SVD, Ma Deuce, and my Henry .22 lever-action. And an SKS or two. :)

And a Humvee to mount it on.

Hah, ugh. Set up your own gun manufacturing stuff, hire engineers, get SOT status and manufacturer. Claim you are a developer. Gun Design Research.

then you can has your Dillon.

Good thread.

I like it. It is nice to cut and paste the guns names into Google to see what is good, and what is dreams.

Thanks.

Considering I have a collection that would have to be pared down by a large, large, large factor to reach 15 guns, and I'm basically done with my 'dream' collection and now only buying special guns that speak to me or duplicates of what I already have, the list could probably keep me happy almost indefinitely.

In no particular order:

FN-FAL of one variant or another. Inch preferred if I have to have one.
G3-pattern gun, must have paddle release. G3K or Hk-51 variants only.
MP5-pattern gun in 9mm, must have paddle release. Prefer K-PDW.
Pre-war S&W 38/44 with target sights
Schofield New Russian or Beretta/S&W factory Schofield repro

First year Remington 870 Magnum ADL
Bolo Broomhandle with shoulder stock
Uzi 9mm
Sig GSR Revolution 1911 first run, no rail, nitron, pre-6k serial. (back when the parts were absolutely worth more than the gun and the guns were beautiful)
Sig 226 9mm, non-railed, stamped slide.

Browning/FN P35/Hi-Power. Ring hammer, military sights.
Walther Olympia .22 pistol with barrel weight
Walther or Manhurin PP .32 ACP.
Mosin-Nagant 91/59
Mauser 98k with intact front sight hood

I'd like a Saiga 12 and a Colt Special Combat Government 1911 in Hard Chrome.

Otherwise, I'm thrilled with my current collection.

Glock 19C 9mm
Russian IJ-70 Makarov 9X18
FN Five-Seven
Ruger Sp101 .38 or .357
Colt 1991 .45
Taurus PT-1911SS
Benelli 12 Gauge Nova

What I have already assuming suppressors don't count for our purposes

2 Glock 22's
2 Glock 19's
1 Glock 26
1 Beretta 92FS
1 S&W 910S
1 Bushmaster 20" AR15
1 Benelli Nova 12ga

What I would want

Real deal automatic HK MP5
Benelli M2 Tactical
50 cal of some type
another AR15
Glock 23
and one more that I can't come up with now.

1. M16 + Rails + Acog (burst)
2. M4 + Reflex (Full)
3. Colt King Cobra 6"
4. M14
5. Glock 18
6. Hk PSG
7. Magnum Research BFR 45-70 10"
8. Magnum Research BFE 30-30 10"
9. Barrett M82A1
10. Benelli M3 tactical
11. Remington LTR equipped with a suppressor, and a NIghtforce
12. M60 (full)
13. AK47 (full)
14. Hk P7
15. Walther G22 with hi cap mags, a suppressor, and full auto

man, the yearly bill from the ATF for the stamps would be a b****...
Those tax stamps are a once and done thing. 15 type III would only cost $3000 once and done.

1. I would start with a custom mauser/Win70 type bolt action single shot in 38 spec and scaled to fit just 38 spec. with a 16.5 inch barrel and a OAL of 26", receiver sights and a hooded front 1/16" gold bead

2. Any one of the 1911a1s that was assigned to the AO-79 Cowenesque.

3, 4, 5, 6. - 4 S&W model 13-2's with a 3" intermediate barrel from the 10-5 or 10-7 series installed with gold bead front sights dovetailed in place.

8, 9 + 10. 3 matched Win model 70 compact classics in 22-250, 7mm-08 and 358 Win. The 22-250 with a 20" bull barrel and a 3x9-33 Leupold compact scope, the 7mm and 358 with 2x7-33 Leupold compact scopes and the normal sporter barrels.

11. Remington Rolling Block commercial in 45/70, receiver sight, globe front sight, 22" 1/2 oct/1/2 rnd blued barrel, case hardened receiver.

I will finish later

Good thread.

Guns I already have:
-Ruger 10/22 RB .22 LR with Lyman 4x scope
-Savage 99E .300 Sav with Weaver 4x scope
-Remington 722 .300 Sav with Weaver 3-9x scope
-Winchester pre-'64 70 .243 Win with Weaver 3-9x scope
-Russian M91/30 Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R
-NEF Pardner 12 gauge 2 3/4"
In light of my current collection, and going at this from the mindset that these 15 guns will have to suffice for all my needs for the rest of my life, here's what i would go with:

Revolvers:
-4" stainless Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Mag/.38 Spl
-7 1/2" Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk .44 Mag/.44 Spl

Pistols:
-Ruger 22/45 with 6" threaded Pac-Lite threaded barrel and Tactical Innovations Quest suppressor
-Sig Sauer P226 Tactical 9x19mm with GemTech Tundra suppressor
-Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special 1911-A1 .45 ACP

Shotguns:
-Savage 24F combo gun .22 LR/20 gauge 2 3/4"
-Ruger Red Label 20 gauge 2 3/4"
-Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge 3"
-Wilson Standard Model 12 gauge 3" with Surefire light forend, ghost ring rear/tritium front sight, Speedfeed stock, extended mag tube, etc.

Rifles:
-Winchester 52C Sporting Rifle .22 LR with Lyman receiver sight
-accurized Ruger Mini-14 with Leupold 2.5-8x scope
-Savage 99F .358 Winchester with Leupold 3x scope
-Kimber Montana .308 Win with Leupold 4x scope
-Winchester pre-'64 70 Featherweight .30-06 with Leupold 4x scope
-GA Precision .308 Win Rem 700 clone with 24" Obermeyer barrel, Schmidt & Bender 3-12x50mm scope, McMillan General Purpose Hunting (M40A1) stock, Timney trigger, Harris bipod, etc.

First, I'd like the main battle rifles from the 4 most major players in WWII:

M1 Garand
Arisaka 99 (got it)
Mauser K98
Mosin Nagant (got it)

Next: a good .308 boltgun. Savage 16 left hand (yes, I'm a lefty).

Beyond that:
AR-15
AK-47
AK-74
An AK in 5.56 NATO
Chinese NDM-86 (.308)

Pistols:

Colt 1911 .45
Ruger P90 .45
And their equivalents in 9mm.

Also a good muzzleloader rifle.

My selections are primarily due to performance, reliability and ammunition availability. I want to ensure I'll always be able to find ammo for at least one of my rifles. Note that having a few more obscure calibers doesn't hurt, as it's likely all their ammo won't be bought and used up as quickly.

I wouldn't buy guns for rarity or looks but for functionality & to use:

L1A1
FAL Para
Sig 556 with 551 handguards

Bolt actions:
Savage 12FLV in 22-250
Savage 14 in .243
Custom built .270
Enfield Enforcer
CZ 452

Handguns:
Browning Hi Power
1911 - nothing fancy, just practical
CZ 97B
CZ 85 Combat

Expensive stuff
Sterling
HK MP5
FNC

Hi Guys: I'm new here but saw this thread. I'll really need to think more on this but I'll start with:
Lewis machhine gun .
A custom 1911, with conversion kits to take any cartridges that can be made to fit, starting with .22.
That counts as only one gun, right?
Mini-gun, in 5.56.
Gatling gun, in 5.56, belt fed.
An Abrahms tank gun, complete with tank.

I'll have to think a bit on the rest.
