Seriously, I have a question, one that I don't think has ever been attempted, and I don't even know where the moderators want me to post it--if they will let me at all.
Like everyone, sometimes you need some extra cash. When that happens, you call your buddy, ask him over and dicker over something in your collection.
Well, I want to ride my Harley this summer and I don't want to pinch pennies over fuel costs. I want to ride to my heart's content.
I don't feel my wife should have to bear the brunt of that hobby. She has her own stuff she does for fun, and I don't want her subsidize my hobbies. And let's be clear, no one really needs to ride a Harley into the ground, we simply want to.
I have a large knife collection--one that I'm not eager to photograph and post on the internet. People know too much stuff about us with the just the info they can glean fron a dumpster. I wore out a paper-shredder and had to buy a new one.
Periodically, I search the buy/sell shops of forums, and seldom do I find a perfect match of needs to my surplus. So here's my question:
Has anyone ever attempted (by the forum rules) of just asking folks what they are looking for in their wants for a collection? The money will just be used for fuel, not needs like medical bills.
