Best (lucky?) shot
Tuning up my deer rifle before deer season at the range. I had shot 3 or four pretty nice groups @ 100 yards. All of these were shot at orange, stick on dots, the center bullseye was untouched The guy next to me said "pretty good but lets see ya do it standing up. I stood up and fired, it took me a minute to find the hole because it was perfectly centered in the X. Generally I'm lucky to get 8" groups when standing. I'm sure I could never do that again.
Hunting in Utah, a buck was running right to left at 125 yards in the trees. There was a clearing about 10 feet wide that he had to pass through. I just nicked his heart, after being hit he crashed down the hill, on 2" of snow toward me. There was a lot of blood on the snow, it was shooting out as if coming from a hose. He piled into a bush and died about 20 feet away from where I fired the shot.
