A 1816 springfield pattern musket, made about 1820.

An older flintlock smooth bore, much shorter barrel, no one seems to know much about it, it has lockwork from Brown Bess, but the bore is about .80 caliber. In very weak condition.

most of an 1858 enfield .58 cal. musket. missing some bits, but it would go bang if needed.

a 1861 remington .44 cap and ball. everything is original but the grips, at some point they were replaced.

a 1898 model 1895 savage rifle. actually killed a deer with this a few years ago.

a 1900 Husqvarna swede 96.

a hopkins and allen "XL double action .32 centerfire" pat dates of 1885.

a S&W model 3 pocket, .38 S&W top break, about 95%, Supposedly 1880's manufacture from one web sight.

some other odds and ends.

my oldest is a Model 1897 Winchester shotgun, made in 1907. i bought it at an estate sale this year, and it has been problematic, and i have no sentimental attachment to.

my second oldest is a Model 12 Winchester, also a 12 gauge, made in 1920. this gun was a gift from my father, who received it as payment for orchestrating the trade of a boat for a shotgun collection. the blueing is all worn off, and the action is "like silk and a bank vault", to quote Dave McC. had to replace the extractor last year, it was just plain worn out. it only took 80-odd years of hard use for something to break. one of the most interesting things is the fact that i know at least four people that have owned and used this gun at some point in the past 30 years. i hunt with some of them on occasion.

an honorable mention goes to a turkish mauser with part of the stock cut off. the story i heard growing up was that grandpa (a navy man) won it in a game of cards from a turkish sailor, and snuck it home dismantled and tucked in his sea bag (hence why the stock was cut). he used it to shoot coyotes. it was a great story.

when the rifle entered my posession, i had been in to milsurps for a while. i saw the import marks on the barrel/receiver, and was a bit disheartened. regardless, i love shooting it. if i ever have kids, i'll have a great story to tell about Grandpa and a game of cards.

1870s or 80s St. Etienne SxS 16 bore underlever hammer shotgun on a LeFacheaux(sp?) action, with re-blued Damascus barrels. It's on face and the locks are in good condition. I got it for a song because the stock is cracked at the wrist and the previously mentioned re-blueing. It is a gorgeous peice.

"Hmmmm lemme look in here a minute..." he sayeth, while rummaging through "Foggy's Artillery Locker".....

1954 Romanian Mosin-Nagant M-44
1955 International Harvester US Rifle Cal .30 M1
Unknown Vintage Marlin Mdl 99 .22LR (Mdl 99, not 99A/B/C)
Unknown Vintage Mossberg 500A

I suppose modern repros of Black Powder don't count, but do have a Navy Colt .44 revolver and a Lyman "Trade Rifle".50 Flintlock.

Oldest brother has "Pops" shotgun...a Savage/Stevnes Mdl 94B 16-Ga break-action

I have an old flintlock pistol made supposed made in the late 1700's. No way to tell really. The barrel is so thin you couldn't pay me enough to shoot it. Black powder must have been really weak back then. It has a nice rampant lion inlayed in gold on the barrel.

I have a 1934 Swiss K31. It was my first C&R purchase, from FGS. I tried contacting the soldier on the tag I found under the butt plate, but no luck. It's in ok shape, but still accurate.

At the moment my oldest gun is a New England Firearms Pardner 12 gauge break action, single shot, shotgun. It was given to me as a gift about 3 years ago by a gentleman who is in his 70s. HE said he had bought it for a lady years ago for self defense, but she was intimidated by the recoil, and gave it back to him a while later. It had been lying around for a while, but it looks almost brand new. I'm guessing it is at least 10-20 years old (I wish I could find out from the serial #)

That's the oldest I have right now, although I am really itching for a WWII era gun like a Garand or Mauser or P38, or an older Soviet gun like a Mosin or SKS. I already have a 1911 (RIA GI Replica), but I would love to have a genuine WWII pistol. I love older type weapons with history behind them, so I will definitely be getting some older guns soon when I have the cash, maybe even get a C&R license some day.

I have a muzzle loader about 12 Ga , The front site, barrel band ,trigger guard, and left side of the lock is brass. The butt plate is stamped 8010,55 ,and 1831. The left side of the action plate or lock is stamped with a crown ,55, and 1831. The barrel is stamped 8010, a crown , and 1831.The right side ,which is iron ,of the lock is stamped POTSDAM and a crown. My grand father found the gun in the open plains before there were fenced pastures. He fired the old black powder gun but I will not.

would have to be my springfield modle 84c. When was it made? Dunno, but after that it is my Win 94 made in (if I rememebr right) '78 and I am betting the 84c is older. I did have older but I gut stuck in the needing cash hole and had to sell them.
