What's wrong with Glock?

Glock has been having problems ever since the GEN4's were introduced. The problems also extended to many of the GEN3's also. Mostly the 9mm but the new G21's and some new G30's are having problems. Here's what they did with the 9mm's,
1. Did not allow enough room in the early Gen4's for the dual recoil set up. Many started shaving plastic from the frames. Modified the frames.
2. .40 recoil set ups in the 9mm's causing all manner of problems. 3-4 redesigns of the RSA's.
3. Didn't fix all the problems so the ejector was changed (336 to 30274).
4. Changing from a "dipped" to a straight extractor. Extractor is MIM. Some are too soft and others out of spec.
Their is a guy over at Glock Talk right now with a burned eye socket from his new G30. Reports of problems with 21's also. Obviously not every Glock made is faulty. But the frequency is disturbing. And don't listen to the "hotter ammo" or "limp wristing" excuses.
The Glock manual says the guns are made to fire SAMMI spec and NATO spec ammo. Hot ammo is just increasing the slide velocity and covering up the real issue(s). If you don't limp wrist your other Glocks and it happens when other people fire it you are not limp wristing. Problem is their doesn't seem to be one set of parts or whatever that fixes every gun. Finally got my 9mm GEN4 G19 working with an APEX extractor and a GEN 3 guide rod adapter. Just a general history of the problems that many try to deny at Glock.

.357sig, sales....

I don't want to veer off topic, but when I say the .357sig duty loads are hard to find, I mean it. I too looked on a few online sources; Grafs.com Ableammo.com ShopCorbon.com SGammo.com Cheaperthandirt.com Luckygunner.com .
They don't seem to list huge amounts of .357sig(different styles, brands).
In my metro area, I rarely see any .357sig JHPs or pre-fragmented rounds; MagSafe, DRT, Critical Duty(a new round added 2014), PowRball.
Even SIG Sauer seems to back away from the round. It's no longer in the P250 line & they no longer stock a few P239s & P229s in .357sig .

Like I posted, the .357sig is great but it's not worth it for LE or concealed carry if you can't buy ammunition or the guns are DXed a lot.
My state recently modified the armed security statues & now permit the .40S&W. I noted they cut the bill section requesting the .357sig prior to the final vote.
It'd be nice but not critical compared to the 9x19mm +P or +P+.

Don't law enforcement agencies buy the ammunition straight from the manufacturer? If that is true it wouldn't really much matter as they would buy it straight from them... I have never seen local department reps at walmart or any other store for that matter. Also I am not sure what the definition of a "duty load" is in respect to ammunition and the 357 sig, but you don't get much more "duty" oriented then 357 sig in the original frame GLOCK. Anyway back on topic I agree that the GEN 4s have been the curse of the GLOCK as of late with the early problems it had but I feel that a bluff may be being put on by the agencies. I highly doubt an agency that would buy GLOCK gen 4's in the 45 at the price they get them at would then go the opposite spectrum and "put in an inquiry" on a sig that is almost double the price (not sure what le agency get as a discount through them if any). Anyone think its just a bluff to see if GLOCK will just do what they want with or about the firearms purchased.

Purchase orders; bids.....

Many US police agencies are mandated to use bids or contracts thru distributors or authorized firms. They put out a open period for police supply or contractors to submit the best price.
This helps reduce the fraud, waste & abuse.
A chief or procurement officer could cut deals or scams with a firm then ignore better loads/designs.
It happens often in the defense industry.

Some firms or distributors have selected areas or zones they can work in. They look for new bids or government contacts in selected areas.

glock gen 4

I have to say, The first day shooting my new glock 21gen4, The extracted
rounds hit me in the head and a few in the face. Then i called glock and they sent me a new recoil spring. I have to say the empty shells dont go as far
as my 23 or 36. I just never got hit again. I hope thats the only problem.
it cost me enough on a retirement check.
