^^^ Now that's sweet.

I'm a big fan of full size pistols.

I own a G23C and it's the one I choose to carry the most. I shoot it better than any other handgun I own. I also have a Sig 239 in .40, I like it OK but the grip just feels funny to me. I think I'd like to have a Sig 229 instead.

My only .40 is this S&W 646, so I guess it's my favorite:

Of course, this Colt in .38-40 should count, since it's the original .40 caliber:

I do not care for the .40 cal my self.

I like the 9mm & .45 the most.

But back to OP question.

I like my Sig Sauer P229 police trade in in .40 cal.

Or My Sig P226 in .40 cal. (this picture has the Bar-Sto 9mm barrel in it.)

Both are great shooters.

I have two: Glock 23 and Taurus PT101p and actually, I prefer to shoot the Taurus (similar to Beretta's 96). It's almost as much fun as my 1911's which are almost as much fun as my Vaquero .45 Colt...

As far as the Glock, well to me it's on par with using a vacuum cleaner, or a floor jack, or a lawnmower. It does the job very well but it's only a tool....

Ruger SR40c. Compact, lightweightm easy to carry, mild recoil and good sights. Mine has been foolproof since I got it and has fired about 800 rounds without a problem. It's handled WWB round nose, jacketed flatnose and cast flatnose without a single problem. It came with both a flat bottom and finger extension magazine base but I carry and fire it with the flat bottom base. It's easy enough on the hand that the shorter grip is adequate.

Glock 27. It conceals very easy, and the most accurate sub compact I've ever shot.
It's light weight and very manageable recoil. It's malfunction free and eats everything I feed it.

Well, I guess old habits die hard. Saw this 4006 at the gunshow last weekend and the price was right so it came home with me. The polymer guns that I checked out(Glock, Sig, Beretta) all seemed fine--I can definately see the appeal from a carry standpoint. If enjoy shooting this .40, I'm sure that there will be more to come.

I have a highpoint 40S&W and believe it or not I love shooting it. I bought my son a SW40VE and I like shooting that also, the trigger is a little long though. I just bought a Ruger SR40C and I hope it becomes my favorite 40. I've shot a gen4 glock and liked that but liked the SR9C better and I hope the 40 is comparable. BULLET BOB I like your 646!!

I have to say ,the Glock 23. Mine is very accurate as in 1.75" groups @ 50ft. with monotonous regularity, with 180 JHP ammo. And I can see why the FBI picked it as their sidearm. Recoil about same as 9mm. I think, because of grip angle of the compact sized frame.
