dwtt...........HiPower in 9mm in Limited 10

You gotta get away from that HP. I have one that I would love to shoot, but there is no place for a SA 9mm to be competitive in USPSA, unless you shoot all A's.

Anyway.

Production is either a XD Tactical 9MM or a Para P189- LDA

Limited10 and SS is a STI Trojan. All work did by Tripp.

Limited is a Para P16-40 Dawson/Jarrett

Revolver is a S&W 5" 625.

He didn't ask what was competitive, there are a bunch of guns folks listed that wouldn't be ideal for USPSA. I suggest shooting what you have at first or borrowing one to shoot. If you see something you think you might like ask the owner if you could try it out. Trying out others guns, before buying, has saved me $1000's over the years.

Amen to that statement. I spend $1500.00 on a PC952-2 9mm (SAO) and it cannot be used in Production. I'd be placed in a class having to compete with the scoped race guns. I should have checked the gun equipment for each class in USPSA before the purchase.

I use a Taurus mediam frame 357 magnum (shoot 38 Special tho). I'd like to find a nice used S&W 625, that would be more competitive. Though so far, I'm the only one shooting revolver at club matches.

Race Gun

I few years back I won a Guns&Ammo sweep steak. They gave me an IPSC- type race gun. It was built by Glade's Gun Works. It was a Caspian Arms wide body frame with a Bar-Sto barrel, Novak sights and the nicest trigger I'd ever shot. It was supposed to come in .38 super but when it showed up it was actually chambered for 9x21.
Nice gun but not my style. I traded it at a local shop for $1600.00 Worth of other guns.

I currently use a Berreta 92 in production but would not recommend it. It's a fine weapon but as stock guns go, it's not designed for competition. If for no other reason, the double action (always the first shot) is WAY too heavy. I could get a trigger job but instead...

I'm having a bespoke Limited gun built by Paul Liebenberg at Pistol Dynamics. Can't wait till I get that baby!

In the mean time, I'm going to pick up a 1911 .45 to use in Single Stack, a provisional division. I'm leaning towards a Wilson, probably a QCB. There are other 1911s out there that are more appealing to me but living in California, my choices are limited. The 1911 will at least get me used to using single action for when my Limited gun arrives.

I would've change the barrel to a 9mm and that would be my dream USPSA and Steel Challenge gun.

To each, his own...I guess.

P.S.
Congrats on the win! Wish I would have the same luck someday. :)

HK USP Expert in .40, jetfunnel mag well, a-grips.

I'm shooting L10 with it now, but might switch to Limtied after a bit.

I wanted something with controls similar to my P2000SK carry gun. Also, I feel the mag release on the HKs gives me a slight speed edge :)
