What's your "never buy" gun?

Anything full auto, sure they are fun but even though I reload its too much time and money for the fun plus in full auto mode they are less than accurate.

I'll never buy a Kimber, way too much money for too little quality, AND I don't like their attutude. I will also never buy a new Ruger so that I can keep from giving any cash to the progeny of that #$%$#ing appeaser.

Just curious. Why wouldn't you buy a Hi Point? I have one and it shoots well consistently. Actually it is one of my favorite guns to shoot. I have quite a few other hadguns, many different makes, models, and calibers. I tend to enjoy all of them. As I said, just curious, not looking to start any debate.

AR's I own one and thats enough, If I can buy one at a deal, I'll put on some taticool stuff and sell big, they're like Harley Davidson's way way overpriced. AK's are same also.

Taurus Judge.

It just doesn't fit a role that I need to fill. I have full power revolvers and I don't see the point of a .410 round out of a handgun. I'm live and let live with snake so I don't need it for the shot either.

Hi-Points, Singles, California-anything, Recommended-anything (by gov/state/dip****s), .22-anything, 9mm-anything, .40-anything.

How about this, anything that is not.

1. .50
2. .357
3. 454
4. .223
5. 00 (12)

(about it atm)

I wouldn't include Hi-Point either. I know it is a favorite target of the gun snobs, most who never owned one, but they are a reliable, albeit heavy firearm that is made in USA and guaranteed for life. They are really too heavy for CCW. I tried because I carried a Colt Mark VII on duty for years, but found that there are smaller, lighter alternatives available out there.

Any AR type rifle.
(it's a wet lube weapon with an ejection port cover, and too sensitive a gas system. A gun should never be dirty but god forbid an AR gets dirty, due to something as simple as I don't know a broken ejection port cover and dusty/sandy conditions... not even long odds of this, I've had it happen in combat and the gun was effectively a bolt action.)

i would never guy a gun i can't know how it works and do basic maintaince for. or one that i can't afford--not just the hangtag but the feeding of also.

---i soo wanted a minigun:what:

When a gun is bought used, and might have been abused, are readers supposed to know that this was the situation, or should they assume that the gun was brand-new?

Also, problems with semi-autos is often because of the magazines (not just aftermarkets with Ruger Minis).
Without describing any of these factors, stating the word unreliable can be meaningless, and what do unfamiliar readers learn?
There could have been over two years' worth of good lessons here.

My Auto-Ordnance M-1 Carbine was brand-new in October '07. The mag came with the rifle.
After about 120 rds. the bolt became jammed. Free repair, and then it worked fine but I sold it anyway.

Never buy: anything made by Ruger. But I own four of them! In my defense, I'll add that I inherited them.

I have a new one to add to the list!

Feather .22LR kit rifle.

Worst. Purchase. Ever.

Breaks down and fits into a laptop case, looks really cool, seems to make the bullet exit the bore once the primer is struck.... BUT

Came with two magazines, neither one of them will feed more than one or two before jamming. I have tried every brand of ammo I can find, I've tried to adjust the feed lips on one of the mags, nothing works. :fire:

-----------

Aside from that, I could probably add Glock to the list BECAUSE I already own several of them and love 'em to death. I refuse to buy the .45crap they came out with a few years ago. Keep .45 beefy!

oh and, HK & Sig. I refuse to pay that much money for something my Glocks and High Powers can do better for less. My 1911 can do twice as good as that for the same amount of moola :neener:

The only one i can think of is Marlins. I dont like them there lever action not the best action out there. I LOVE my Mosin and Stevens 237. My 237 is a beauty she has been fixed up and is a fine shotgun. Mosin is my F Class rifle very accurate gun and my first love her too.

Interesting thread going on for several years.

There are a lot of guns I would choose not to shoot...but...
I haven't met one I didn't want to own.
