All things considered (revolvers and autos, rimfires and centerfires, etc.) I'd go with Ruger.

What's your overall favorite brand of handgun?

Well I've owned more Ruger's than any other brand, but own none at this time, so I can't say Ruger is my brand.

Right now I'd have to say that S&W is my brand of choice. I've owned three and a S&W 3913 is my present CCW. I'd really like a S&W stainless 5" 45acp 1911, but with two kids in college, I have hardly any funds for guns.

I'm really impressed with Smith these days. I think that it is an under-rated brand do to all the hoopla with Glock, Sig, HK & Kimber, etc.

So at least for now, it's S&W.

I have no one overall brand.

In polymer's I like Glock 9mm's 17/19/26/34, H&K in .40, Sig's:D
In Revolvers & like S&W and Ruger in that order J, K & N Frames:)
In 1911's I like Kimber, Colt, Springfield, Les Baer & Ed Brown, S&W In order ALL 3,4,5" barrels:cool:
Only Rimfire I own is a Ruger 10/22;)
Only shotgun I own is a Remington 870;)
Rifles I like AK's AR's and M1A's, Rock River Colt, S&W, Springfield's take oyur pick:cool:
A-Bolts Remington, Winchester, Savage, Kimber, Marlin in .300, .308, .30-06, 7mm Mag, 7mm-08, :p
Lever action, Henry, Marlin, Browning, Ruger, Savage.;)

I can't choose just one. Ask me what manufacturer I'd never buy? I can give you one.:neener:
I'm a glockman but If I must choose ONE company/Manufacturer I'd go with the one with the most diverse poduct line in Revolver, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun........S&W or Ruger....Why do we have to pick just one?:( :banghead:

All things considered, my first choice would be a S&W revolver, which might explain why have a couple of them. My Beretta and High-Standard are nice, but they're not S&Ws.

How come everyone always leaves Walther off these polls?
My favorite handgun brand is Walther.
My second favorite brand is Bersa, yes you read that right, BERSA.
Any manufacturer that is smart enough to copy (or license) Walther is pretty smart in my book.

Have more Rugers but like most all pistols and revolvers, even a few that's beneath the notice of some posters.

Have to go with Glock. No awards for ergonomics, but I love the fact that the design is simple, I can easily aquire spares for any of the small parts, and it is designed to be a tool (everything I need, nothing I don't, no feature creep here!). Plus, they offer multiple frame sizes in a large variety of calibers, all with a common manual of arms.

I chose 'other' , because as with some of the other posters I can't say I have an overall favorite at all. In fact, with just a few exceptions (S&W Revolvers) all of my firearms are from different makers.

The majority of my guns are Smiths, but my favorite is a HK.

Voting Smith.

I like the history, offerings and rising quality of the Springfield Armory line. While I don't carry a 1911, they make some nice guns.

Never have been partial to any of the S&W pistols, though the revolvers are hard to beat. Never have found a Glock that fits my hands. Never have been able to manipulate the SIG's controls (lefty).

The handful of CZ's I've seen impressed me so much, I purchased a CZ P01 9mm for daily carry. Highly reliable, accurate. A tad wide, far wider than my old Browning BDM. But then, you can't have everything.
