35 miles north/east of Lansing Mi.
I live out in the sticks and have 4-5 gun club-ranges within 15 miles of my house.
My favoite gunshop is Bare,s sporting goods in St.Charles.
My area is gun friendly, the local sheriff told me I should get my CCW
so I wouldn't have to come see him every time I wanted to buy a handgun:D

Yucaipa, San Bernardino Co, Ca
It's a red county:) but guns here are a taboo subject though there is a healthy shooting community. Laws are those of California.

CCW side note;
Our county sheriff is considered by most a shall issue guy, he does incourage carrying as large a caliber as you can handle.:D He figures if your gonna activly depend on yourself for security and self defense you should have the proper tools for the job. They'll let you use a .22 or a .25ACP but you might get some odd looks and a lecture. (in PRK you get to list up to 3 handguns that you can carry concealed if you get a permit.)

My list will be; 1911 in .45ACP, some 9mm-maybe CZ-75, Bersa Thunder .380

unless I change my mind...

Live in a small town in central Maine . Gun laws up here are not bad . Shall issue state , open carry legal, ranges spread about . No AWB. lots of hunters , lots of guns. only thing that sucks is that to get out of maine you have to go through mass or canada :barf:

(Miami,tu habla espanol?) though Im outta here as soon as the house sells.Ws thinking going around Orlando-Tampa but Tennessee is looking better and better...:fire:

fiVe check out my reply in the "its always something "thread...as a fellow Floridian you might find it interesting:fire:

Place of residence- Newburgh/Evansville, IN
Gun Club- Izaak Walton, Yankeetown, IN
Gun Shop- Whittaker Guns, Owensboro, KY

Great thread topic, but retarded poll. :D

Suburb of Detroit.
Plenty of ranges, sporting goods stores that still sell long guns, Cabelas, Bass Pro, independent gun shops, gun clubs and a couple real nice public ranges.

Gun legislation has improved. CPL has been made shall-issue, duty-to-retreat/reasonable means of escape has been done away with.

Carry laws still restrict from carrying in many places but the new regs are much better than the old system.

Our hunting is under attack by HSUS and other groups. We recently lost our right to hunt dove and the current target in MI is trapping. They're trying to stop it all together. Next will probably be another firearm related activity like varmint hunting or duck hunting.

Climate seems to be constantly changing. For the better when it comes to SD/HD. For the worse when it comes to hunting.

Oh the humanity!!!

I'm surviving 30 miles north of Detroit, and longing for northern Michigan.

I live in Cotton Valley, Louisiana...about 30 minutes from Shreveport City & Bossier City. I'm also about 15 minutes from Arkansas state line.

There is alot of open land to go shoot. But very limited on gun ranges becauses of it.

Cousin Mike's from Columbus, and I'm just east of him. :uhoh:

Hopefully tomorrow will be the day we get rid of "plain sight" when the Senate overrides our POS Governor Taft's veto on our concealed carry fix it Bill!:cuss:

I live about 40 miles nw of downtown Milwaukee.
Gun climate: good, unless you want to CCW. Wisconsin is a really nice state ruined by the socialists in madison and milwaukee.

From my house: Cabela's is 5 minutes away, Gander mountain is 8 minutes away, and sportsman's warehouse is about 7 minutes away:D

RUB IT IN WHY DON'T YOU! :fire:

I have a 40 min drive to a good candyshop:banghead:

But once I get there I realize it was all worth it :D

Right outside Naw'lins Louisiana. Home of the straightest talking, most honest politicians in the world:D

Reno Nevada. Not a single lame gun law I can think of. Heck I can carry in a Bar, can you guys?:neener:

Western Suburbs (DuPage County) of Chicago, but I work in Da Mayor's workers paradise. :barf: Any here not know about Illinois repressive gun laws ????

My club is 20 minutes west of my house. We have a Gander Mountain and Dick's on the way there. Also a couple of decent gunshops in Aurora (JR's) and Plainfield (Megasports and the Gun Shop). Gunworld in Bensenville is okay.

One more Jersey guy (at least 'til the end of this month, then I'm outta here! :D ) chiming in - and yes Ambush is right. There are 2 Jerseys, and while southern NJ is 'more' gun friendly than the north, I'm still glad I am leaving.............:neener:

Being a Maryland born native, I LOVE Tennessee. My ancestors actually have a cemetary named for them near Knoxville, the Alder Cemetary. Tennessee is great regarding personal freedom and even Memphis is good regarding personal protection.

However, Memphis keeps annexing sections of Shelby county yet refuses to provide the necessary services to sustain it's "new" residents. It's their antedote to a failed fiscal policy. They don't provide new police officers to service the newly acquired communities and leave us to our own devices.

Mayor Herenton recently stated, after we were announced to be the most violent city in America, to "exercise an abundance of caution". So if you like the old wild west and are not denied the use of arms to protect yourself from the hellions out there, than yeah, it's great!

I can't wait for the new city property taxes to kick in, what the heck was I gonna do with an extra $1,300 a year in my pocket?

I'm in Eugene, OR. It's a VERY liberal, VERY "blue" city with a VERY liberal college downtown, but, state premption laws ensure that getting my concealed carry license was quick and hassle free, and with it I can carry concealed anywhere I want (except courthouses, jails and federal buildings), and can legally open carry wherever I want too.Full auto and silencers are legal here too.So, I get to have a VERY good gun friendly climate in spite of it being a very liberal, Democrat controlled area. What better way to annoy the gun grabbers and thumb my nose at them as I exercise my gun rights.Gotta love it. :):neener:

Hi !

My name is Edgar and I´m from Spain. I love the fireams but in my country is very dificult to have a gun or a rifle:( And the cost of the ammo is incredible!!!

Maybe this summer I will go to USA and I hope to try some firearms.
