It is easy to get confused on these repro guns unless you are careful. Before the
internet there was little information beyond maybe a brochure or insert. It may be
that at one time most frames were rough cast by one house there in Brescia. I
remembered an early Uberti that was made of a silver like metal that was very
poor quality--almost pot metal. I sold all my collection except one. Wish I could
reverse those sales. Moral: do not sell and trade these black powder guns. In
the future they will likely skyrocket in price.

Im a huge lover of .36 cal cap and ball...in my opinion it is very underrated. They have a huge selection of power variance options...you can shoot 12-15 grains of powder with a 80 grain round ball or shoot a conical with a wide meplat weighing 135-145 grains (as much as a .44 round ball) and 20-25 grains of an energetic powder such as Swiss, Old Eynseford, or 777...and you got one hard hitting powerful gun that can exceed the performance of your average .44 round ball load. That being said...my next gun will be a .44 cal open top with 5.5 inch barrel.

DGW has the Pocket Police models in 5.5" and 6.5" barrels back in stock ($395.00.) In general it seems DGW has restocked a lot of their inventory.

I found this place and they seem to have a small selection of BP revolvers in stock and have multiples of the ones they have on hand. You have to scroll down the page. And they are a seller on gunbroker. Thats where I found them. But be warned their website is not user friendly. I just googled this to get the link.

I had never heard of them until a few days ago when I was looking around on gunbroker. If they list it there as In Stock they better have it in stock when the auction ends.

I've mentioned Texas Jack's before.
They have the Uberti 1860 Army Civilian steel frame .44 in stock with standard blue finish for the special price of $338.19.
They also offer it in additional finishes at higher cost.
