Which handgun does your wife/girlfriend shoot?

This is not a "which gun should I get for my wife" thread - we all know there's only one right answer to that question.

I'd like to know which handgun your wife/girlfriend shoots. I know we have a number of ladies that post on this board, I invite you to participate as well.

Feel free to list multiple firearms, but specify what role they serve - is the gun a concealed carry piece? A plinker? A bedside gun?

And as usual, don't be afraid to post pics :)
I am just a newbie in guns-anything so I bought myself a Bersa Thunder 380. I had only done a 4 hour class on basics recently and had shot different guns up to the .45 caliber, in class. You see, we Australians are not allowed to own guns, so here in the US I'd like to have one and know how to use one as a tool. Hopefully, I will not have to kill someone unnecessarily.

My Rottweiler's name is Cooper...and he is NOT afraid of thunders.

Walther P22 is her favorite, but she does well with the FNP-9, S&W Model 60 3-inch and the S&W Model 637 Airweight.

I keep hoping that Walther will ship the PK380. I am hoping she will like it because it is similar in size to the P22. Her main complaint with the FNP-9 is the size of the grip.

My wife learned on a Colt Government model when we were first married, but she now has two Colt Super .38's, and a Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380. She doesn't shoot much, and isn't real fast, but she never loses her "technique", and outshoots most of the shooters we may be on the range with......

I have a RIA 1911 A1 .45 that was my first gun & primary carry gun for 7yrs, a Sig P225/P6 9mm that is my everyday carry gun, & a Beretta Bobcat 21A .22lr which is my everyday deep cover gun. Some days I carry all three.I also have a few long guns which I like to shoot. My 11yr old daughter like shooting Momma's 9mm & both the Beretta Bobcat & Cooey .22lr which she is quite good with.

My girlfriend's favorite handgun is a 6" S&W 17-3.
She prefers rifles to handguns whereas I'm the opposite.

Since my wife received her CCW, she has matured as an owner and shootist. (Shootist = John Wayne Movie reference) My wife was only comfortable with a P22 when she first started to carry. She then decided that she needed the power and control of a Bersa Thunder 380cc. After some issues with the Bersa, she has now moved to the Ruger LCR... And, she LOVES it!

My wife quickly learned to stage the trigger on the LCR and has become scary accurate with it.

My wife shoots a Kel-Tec P-11 which is her CCW, and a Stainless Ruger Security-Six 4", which was her duty piece when she worked for Loomis and Fargo Armored.:D:D:D:p:p:p

My girlfriend shoots a Glock 22 as it's her duty pistol, but she tried my Kimber Compact and did so much better with it. She shoots the G22 just fine, but she shoots the 1911 so much better. Her groupings are better and it fits her hand very well.

She is now breaking in a Springfield Armory Lightweight Champion Operator which will be her new duty pistol when she is comfortable enough to qualify with it.

I'm also working on finding a Glock 26 for her truck gun. She also carries a Rock River AR with an EOTech 552, Surefire light, and Blackhawk Tac Sling as her duty rifle. She knows her guns and it shows!

My wife loves the Ruger Mark III at the range and carries a S&W Model 317. She has yet to graduate to bigger calibers, but I figure it's better than nothing.

My girlfriend carries a S&W Model 60 LadySmith with .357 mags. (Although she also prefers the 38 specials at the range.)

WOW!

You are a brave SOB. I hope your girl friend and Wife don't meet! That sure will be one hell of a fire fight.

While your in the hospital recovering, tell us how that meeting/firefight works out.

Go figure.

I bought my girlfriend a S&W 3904 as a nightstand pistol but I liked it so much I took it back and bought her a S&W 3913LS which she liked better anyway. She shoots both equally well. Of course I found the 3913LS to be an excellent pistol and bought myself a 3913NL.
