I've seen pictures of some of the forum member's rifles and they're great. Hunting rifles, milsurps, EBRs, muzzleloaders, lever actions (did I leave anything out?), whatever. Which one gets the most attention? BTW, I'm not trying to brag. Cool guns are great conversation starters so it's also about meeting other shooter and may be learning about another gun. Also, I don't have a camera but if you would like, post a pic of yours.

Mine is my Mosin Nagant M-39. I got it unissued and keep the stock shiny with a beeswax/boiled linseed oil mix and alway have someone either eyeing it lustfully (I just smile and hope I'm shooting good groups) or asking about the details (usually from other owners of Mosin Nagants).

I have a Danish Madsen M47 (also known as a Columbian M1959). It's a very interesting gun in 30.06, sort of a forgotten milsurp. That one, because of it's looks and scarcity always draws looks and questions.

Here's what it looks like if you're unfamiliar:

Get most notice sighting in my shotgun with slugs... people just dn't DO that for deer and elk here.

The 54 Hawken gets a lot of looks too.

Everyone's seen an AK.. nothing to special about that.

M-1 Garand. People flock to it, especially after "Band of Brothers" and "Saving Private Ryan" came out.

Actually, for me it hasn't been my rifles or shotgun. It's been my S&W 44 magnum handgun. I guess it's the noise, muzzle flash and recoil.

Any of my M44's. First the noise gets their attention, then they come over to see what that pointy thingy is.

Pistol wise it would have to be my Savage Striker with paint job by John.

I'd say it would be my SAR-1 with 75 round drum being rapid fired. There's just something about 75 rounds going downrange as fast as possible that makes people look over and say "***?".

The rifle that gets the most attention is probably my little .260 Mountain Rifle. Many people wonder how such a small, light rifle can shoot so well.

Although, the DCM-grade AR-15 draws a pretty good crowd as nobody around here outside of the HP community believes that a mouse-gun can shoot well, especially out to 200+ yards. Naturally, I am much obliged to show what it can do (within my skill limits). :)

CETME gets a lot of "what is that?" Especially with the muzzle blast from that brake.

But the one that gets the most questions every time I shoot it is my lil' Martini Cadet chambered in the oddball .17/.357. That fat, stubby case with the teeney bullet at the end generates a lot of comments. Especially when they see that tiny rifle shooting at a target 200 yards away.

Of all the guns in my small stabe, my G36-erized SL8-1 gets the most attention. Especially when it slam-fires, which has happened quite frequently of late.. :uhoh: :uhoh:

My break action single-shot, Thompson Center...TCR-83. The doubleset triggers only add to their curiosity :D

Well probably my FR-8 that I put in a Bell & Carlson stock. Shoots great but looks weird as heck.
