I needed a fast response on this so I've posted my plea for advice in a couple places. Long story short is that I need to choose between two 9mm clones and I can't step back and get perspective anymore, I need somebody to tell me which is the better deal.

I can either get a used $250 FEG PJK-9HP hi power clone, OR a used $320 Taurus PT92C (compact) beretta clone. Both are in similar condition. My only other 9mm is a Glock 26.

Which would you get & why?

"What should I choose between a honda or a toyota?"

That is what your question sounds like. There is no real right or wrong if both work. Really depends on what your needs are.

Instead of asking us, what you should be asking yourself is:
1. which one feels better in my hand?
2. which set of controls do I like better
3. which one shoots better for me?

I've got a Taurus PT92C - first gun I ever bought for myself back in the 80s. I have between 10K and 15K rounds through that thing and it is still running like a Swiss watch. Probably the smoothest action of any of my guns other than my Pythons.

My vote is for the Beretta clone!

I would probably opt for the FEG because my hands are smaller and the Hi-Power fits them perfectly. Go with the one that fits you best.

an FEG is a Browning High Power (somewhat look similar gun) One is a fine handgun the other is little more than a door stop. Save your money for a real HP or get the other (clone)

get the Taurus.

it is more a Beretta than the FEG is a HP. it's built on beretta machinery, in a Beretta built factory thet Beretta sold to Taurus after they completed a military contract.

the Beretta will also hold up better to large amounts of shooting

if you want a better hi-power clone look into an arcus.

it's bulgarian and from what i understand, their army carries it.

it's around $320-350 new.

I've owned both FEG and Taurus guns. Both were surprisingly good. Honestly I liked the FEG better of the two so that's probably what I'd get, but....

Isn't FEG out of the biz now?

Is FEG an actual HiPower clone? Isn't it double action and a little more blocky than a HP?
I used to have a hungarian pistol that was almost a match to the HP and it was nothing like the FEG my dad has.
Is there any popular mag interchangability with the FEG

The Feg you are asking about is the " p9r " it's double action and more bulky yes . The pjk is the single action High Power copy.
