In the past two days I've bought a jennings J22, and a FIE titan .25acp. I spent $105 for both of them. I've put 25 or 30 rounds through the titan, and probably 60-70 rounds through the jennings. The titan has yet to have a malfunction. The jennings has had two jams, and a few other times it didn't feed the first round because the round wasn't sitting at the right angle to feed (poor mag design for rimmed ammo maybe?). Accuracy from both of them was good enough for close range plinking, and more than adequate for SD. (I have no plans of ever carrying either though, I carry a keltec .32).
Anyway, I have always heard nothing but negative comments about most of the old saturday night specials, and while I'm sure some of it was well deserved, I wouldn't hesitate to pack either of these little pot metal wonder guns if it was all I had.
Obviously I haven't put enough rounds through either to say that they're good guns, but I don't consider any $40 gun that shoots more often than it jams to be a piece of crap.
So, of all the >$100 handguns out there, I was curious what brand y'all think is the best.
P.S. Neither Hi-point or keltec fall under this category, so don't mention them. (Keltecs are over $100, and hi-points are good, reliable guns for the money, despite what all the people who have never owned or shot one say).
