Who makes your favorite .357/.38 revolver?

Who makes your favorite .357 or .38 revolver? And what is it? (No doubt a few people will post pics).
Right now I have three:
A Taurus 85 Total Titanium .38 in pimpin' blue;
A S&W 65 .357 4" w/wood grips; and
another S&W 65 .357 3" w/pac grips (LE trade-in, but beautiful).

All have great triggers, and all feel like heaven in my hands. My favorite is the one I happen to be holding at the time.

All S&W revolvers are great, but the K frames, especially the 3" variants, are the best of the bunch. You'd have to look long and hard to find a better carry gun than that 3" M65.

I was fortunate enough to buy a 5 screw S&W model 15 with 4" barrel. I was hitting a 4" spinning target at 30+ yards. I just can't do that with my model 19 or my 27-3.

I have an older 6" model 66 Taurus that is a good gun but it's not in the same league as my 6" S&W model 66. The K frame guns won't take the continuous pounding of full power loads like an L frame S&W or a Ruger GP 100 but mine has had a lot of pretty hot loads through it and it's a lot easier to carry in a holster all day.

I recently picked up a Colt Mark III 6" in 357. The trigger feels like it had a trigger job on it. Better than the other Mark III's that I have in 22. I venture to say that it feels as good as most Pythons that I have handled. The Mark III model was pretty much overshadowed by it's colt cousins at the time, but it is a fine revolver. It runs circles aroung my GP100 (3") in terms of accuracy and comfort to shoot in either single or double action.

S&W all the way for me. I've several models including a Model 15, 66, 686 Plus and a recent addition of a 642 for pocket carry.

Not to mention a few others that fall out of the 38/357 catagory. Like 50 cal.

Smith & Wesson M28 is a favorite .357. Heavy, accurate and no nonsense.
Others are a 2.5 inch M19s and a short M66. I had the M19 worked on and it has a slick action.

An Old Model Ruger Blackhawk is also in the running for favorite.
It's the first .357 I bought. I had it out in the woods as "bear medicine" on a fishing trip a few weeks ago. It carried easily and worked as well as ever at keeping the bears away.

I have several Smith's but my favorite is my 2-1/2"-66. P&R'ed.

The .357 Mag is a cartridge I've never had much use for. It's bark is worse than it's bite, and there are other cartridges that do what it does better. The .32 Mag makes a better small game hunting round, the .44 Mag makes a better big game hunting round, and the .45 ACP is a better defensive round (and platform).

That said, I've managed to buy two .357 Smith's this year.
A very nice 6" Model 28-3 that I pretty much paid the going rate for.
And a real nice 4" Model 686 (no dash) that I walked out of Gander Mountain with for $230.
And I thoroughly enjoy shooting them both!

For .38's, I have to mention the 10... even my snubbie 2" 10-11 just two years old. Wood stocks, of course.

For .357M's, I changed my earlier choice - a 6" 66-6 bought new two years ago - to last year's 5" half lug 686+, so called 'Stocking Dealer's Special'. Great look, balance, action, sights (HiViz & V-notch), and stocks (Ahrends cocobolo squared f-g) - for less than a standard full-lugged 4" 686, too!

I have a M65-8, 3" that it a pleasure to shoot (my favorite). I keep the Pac grips on it for the range but also have the wood ones for show. I have a M60 in stainless that is my main carry gun but it tends to be more difficult to shoot.

I have a 3" S&W 13 that I have that is just about all I really need for a daily handgun.

These two make for just about the best CCWs around.

My favorite...

is the very first firearm I bought...a S&W Model 19 Combat Magnum ( K frame ) in a beautiful dark blue finish...sporting a 6 inch barrel, target trigger and sights with Galcano Alves ( spelling ? ) wood grips.
I also have a S&W Model 13-3 ( K frame ) nickel plated ( by original owner ) with a 3 inch heavy barrel and a Ruger Bisley Vaquero in stainless with a 5 1/2 inch barrel, as well as a 4 inch Ruger Security Six, also stainless. Gotta love a dual caliber firearm...

This is a really tough question for me.

Over the years, I've owned, or still own, the following .357 Magnums

Dan Wesson 715-2 (Old Monson Mass. gun)
S&W 19-2 4"
S&W 19-4 2.5"
S&W 28-2

While I do enjoy the flexibility of changing barrels on the Dan Wesson, I have to say that the 28-2 is my favorite. It has probably the smoothest action on any revolver I've ever owned.
