the one i carry is the s@w modle 686 2" 357 mag its alittle heavy but i think that it helps with the recoil from full house loads :)

S&W Model 12 - the original Airweight. Six shots in an alloy frame - what more could you want? :D

i like my 2" model 10

considering getting a 341 pd in 32 mag as my next purchase

Colt Detective Special. No one makes them this good anymore.

My favorites have always been S&W snubs. Have owned a couple of Colts in past years but I think Smith has the best trigger. He are mine. 03s.gif

Don't have it anymore, but I had a mid-70's vintage Charter .44Spl Bulldog. Meant to be carried a bunch and shot SOME...mainly because back then, .44Spl ammo was about $6 a box more than Rem 240-Gr SJHP .44 Mag.

Of the current stuff, I like the Ruger SP-101. And the J-frame Smiths...in steel, not that ultra-lite-tanium.

Tie: Ruger SP101 and S&W 642. Each, in its quite different way, a most impressive design.

Have never spent any quality time with a Colt Detective Special :(, but suspect that if I did, it would be way up there as well.

I have two favorites. For actual carry I love the original Model 40 Centennial. Best pocket pistol ever made.

For other than serious use, I like this Model 10 that my wife had engraved as my 50th birthday present.

Nice Model 10 thatguy.
What's the grips made out of ? It almost looks like Corian or some other solid surface manmade stuff. Pretty cool looking and looks great with the engraving.

Picking up my new 2.25" SP101 with the Crimson Trace grips
tomorrow! Can't wait!!!

I been wanting the "original pocket rocket" since they first
came on the market.

My 2" 10, actually, a -11 model made 1/03, according to S&W, weighs twice what a 637 does... some 7 oz heavier than a 640/649... and, even 5 oz more than the slightly longer SP101. The benefits are easy to see... K-frame size, really +P capable, a six-shooter, and a heritage of note. It was my best el-cheapo buy - $280 closeout priced and brand new. It is disgustingly accurate... figure the drop, and you can hit 12" plates at 110yd. Real comfortable with +P 158gr LHPSWC's and the wood service boots I found at S&W Accessories. Yeah, it is heavy - but in a pancake style OWB holster, it feels 'natural'.

Boats, I also like the DS models. Who made those nice grips?

My Colt Lawman snubbie is a comforting handful, as it has a rounded butt. However, I need to get going to see if Colt will replace the barrel. The front sight is actually, visibly machined crooked and the barrel turned at an extreme angle to compensate.
