For 357 it would have to be my SP 101 2.25" w/ Meprolight Night sight, trigger job, no hammer and Pachmayr Compac grips. Loaded with W-W 145gr Silvertips.

38 goes to a last generation Colt Cobra loaded with 38SWCHPs+Ps and an Orange insert in front sight. No need for a trigger job; had one when it left the factory. :)

S&W 686 with 4 position front sight. In fact, Im looking to buy one now. Please let me know if you have one with a 6" barrel you want to sell! Thanks-

Slick, Those are some slick revolvers! Nice photo's too.

As for me, I can't make up my mind so I have a M581, a M27-2, a Python, and am trying to re-acquire an OMBH I sold to a friend. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I do prefer the medium frame size guns though, the M27 is a great range gun, but too much to carry on the hip.

I agree with Krazy Kramer. My favorite's are my Colt Python 6" blued and my Colt Dick Spl. 3rd generation. I also have a S&W Model 686, 4",Millet Red Dot, B-Square mounts, and Pachmyer finger groove grips. It is a joy to shoot and is insanely accurate.

Although I no longer have them any more, Ruger makes/made my favorite .357 revolvers. I've owned 3. A Police Service Six 4" barrel .357 that I carried when I worked as a security officer in Chicago. A Security Six 2 3/4" barrel .357 that I used a lot when I worked as a PI, and there was a 4" Security Six that I also used. And the ONLY .44 magnum I've ever owned, the Redhawk with 5.5" barrel was also made by Ruger.

Currently, the only .357 revovler I own is a Taurus Model 617B 7 shot .357 with a 2" barrel. So far it shoots pretty well for it's intended use, which is as a BUG to my Taurus PT92 or PT911.
