Wow that is quite impressive.
I cannot even do that with my rifle!

Double action no less and on the second shot. This guy is amazing, I wouldn't even want to be over the horizon and out of sight with this guy shooting at me.

Dan

He didn't actually strike the balloon, he hit the steel plate and the bullet splatter broke the balloon. Even still, hitting what looks like a 3' x 2' metal plate with a handgun using open sights is still quite a feat. Looks to me that he couldn't see that plate downrange, but used the road as a guide to where the metal plates were positioned. Had to be a very calm day. I've shot 1,000 yards with a rifle and open sights and the wind, even slight at that distance, can carry a projectile a long way off target.

DANG! That was awesome!

I want one of those 929s. I'm not even a competitor, but they seem great. I'd bet with the inherent accuracy and 8 shots of 9mm +P+ out of that 6.5" bbl it'd be a good defense gun. Fast reload from moon clips.

I hate that guy! 1,000 yards standing and with a pistol - I still hate that guy! What a marksman.

If you watch the video again, you will notice what is likely the white plate in the distance. It's pretty small, though. :what:

Big deal, it took him 2 shots, Chuck Norris would have done it with 1. It was an impressive shot, a lot of luck involved.

The balloon would have popped on its own if confronted with Chuck Norris..... Purely out of respect.

Um, I did not think that was possible, was this filmed April 1?

9mm hollow point has crap for BC combined with a pistol muzzle velocity, transonic issues. Wind. Corolis effect, spin drift etc that shot is almost impossible, off hand and without magnificatiom?

I am having a hard time with this one

OK so no transonic issues, this is a sub sonic round,

A superhuman shot for sure.

I have shot with him several times know how good he is but 1000 yards on the UTV in 20 seconds! That's 102 mph!

Jerry Miculek is a great shooter - he hit the backer with his second shot in this take.

But . . . how many "takes" were filmed before this one was posted?

When it comes to Jerry Miculek and revolvers, the question might as well be: "who needs a semi-automatic".
