Both my kids are junior members. My 10 yo son got his membership pack yesterday AAMOF. He thinks its so cool that he's a card-carrying NRA member. I have to remind him that it doesn't give him a free kill or anything like that.

When we have two nickles to rub together, and there's not a gun trying to get my money, we'll sign up as lifers.

Just a reminder, though, there's this other NRA that does legal stuff, you know, the NRA-ILA, and that's a seperate deal.

NRA doesn't get to lobby, the ILA guys do.

That's a good point.

How much was an annual membership 25 years ago?

I have never considered a life membership because it seems pretty silly in that it would take some 28 years to save any money.

But if the annual cost is really much cheaper now than it will be in 25 years, 1000 bucks might be well worth it.
