No I dont think you are paranoid,but I do think it is funny when either people you know or dont know ask you how many guns you own. My own answer MYOB,or I dont recall.

You know, I don't think I've seen a single thread titled "Hey, Kahr carrier! How many guns do you own?" 
It's amusing when people post "None of your blankety-blank business!" in those kind of threads, when (if they really wanted to keep a low profile) they wouldn't even click on those threads at all...

I'm kinda proud of my little collection...
If I had the capability (and the talent), I'd love to post a picture or two. A lot of the fun of a new acquisition is talking to you guys about it.
My car was broken into. I built a garage. When I lived in an apartment, I was alone and deeply asleep on the waterbed. I didn't even hear the jerk break in. However, I heard him in my kitchen when he knocked a pan out of a cabinet. (What COULD he have been looking for in my kitchen cabinet??? Drugs?) <shrug> He left "post haste" as I was coming.

I have gun owning friends that think I crazy for being a member of the Gun Boards. They think we are all a bunch of right wing militia types. Me personal I'm a mechanic that like to shoot. No militia involvement here.
They are paranoid.
I figure if the Feds want to come after our gun they don't need to listen in on us here. They know what we have already. As far as someone getting the idea to steal my gun, go ahead. If you get past the alarm system and the ill-tempered Black Lab you still have a Browning Gun safe to get through.

Felonious Monk, I know there are internet ways to find me.
Because I live AZ, there wouldn't be any Pre-Brady info available at the state, county or city levels, for those acquisitions.
Private sales records, NON EXISTANT!
Now there are some post-Brady records, but they only indicate a backround check was done by a particular FFL.
If then, a visit was made to one or several FFLs asking about me, I would get a phone call, and that person or persons search would be terminated.
Private citizens do not have access to 4473s.

Why not show a few of them? They are 100% legal and well secured.
As for telling you how many I own don't ask because I really don't know. My wife probably knows however.
