OK, on a paralell tangent to the "You wouldn't really shoot someone, would you?" thread, anyone ever gotten the, "Why do you have that thing/need something like that?" routine? I got it from a buddy of mine a couple weeks back when we were out shooting and I drug out my Yugo SKS and extended the bayonet, just 'cuz it's fun to shoot that way. Got a lotta wide eyes, which surprised me, since most of them own at least one rifle and one shotgun for hunting purposes, this being the midwest and all. I just laughed and told 'em "Cuz I can." Really, do I need any more justification than that? I used the example of one guy's sports car and another's snowmobile (both of which are capable of speeds well in excess of legal limits). Same principle. They got it then. I'm sure you AR and AK guys get that one too. Doesn't work so well on non-shooters, I'll admit. From now on, I think I'll just ask, "Why do you ask? Don't you trust me?" Any thoughts?
