Since I started shooting HighPower and Garand-Vintage Shoots the M1 Garand is my favorite. Everytime I send a round down range I get a strange connection to the US fighting men that kept our country free and great!

Savage 340B in .30-30...don't know what it is about that little bolt gun, but I just love it. It doesn't have a larg magazine capacity, 3+1, it has just basic open sights, its stock is dinged and dented and its been used and abused, but it points like it's an extension of me, and it's light enough to carry all day.

But Golly I really love my un-fired since rebuild 1903A3. Another one that gets me in touch with the greatness of US Rifle building and Greatness of our fighting men

All of the above. For some reason sometimes a person will bond with a weapons system and THAT system is just the cat's meow for him.

I love my SigSCM. Accurite as I need it to be, but what I like most is its 100% reliable. Everytime I pull the trigger it goes bang without fail.

My second favorite is my Grandfathers M1 carbine that he picked up in the Pacific. Its an all original IP.

I have several like that myself. If someone has one that has a good story behind it (whether it be sentimental, funny, or something else), I would love to hear it.

My favorite, was my grandparent's only gun...a .22LR (is pictured above in post no. 4), was used by my grandmother to kill a bull that got in the garden one too many times.

^I don't know about that there rifle...they messed up and put the bolt handle on the wrong side. :neener:

The first rifle I bought, also the only one I have, so its pretty easy. Savage .22 (lefty, of course!)

Currently has a scope on it, but I'm probably going to take it off for a while for some shooting indoors at a nearby range's iron-sight shoot every tuesday evening.

I voted sentimental old fool because I inherited it from my grandpa and killed my first buck at age 11 with it. But, it's also 3/4 MOA accurate, always kills what I shoot and 99.99 percent of 'em fall DRT. It's a very versatile gun and very well made, slick action, 50s craftsmanship. So, sentiment is nice, but it's also a very good shootin' old rifle. It is an old Remington 722 in .257 Roberts.

It's a toss up between my WASR and my M39. The M39 is accurate, unique, beautiful to look at, and cheap to feed. My WASR on the other hand, is symbolic. AK's have always been a freedom gun to me, and I do love freedom more than anything else. And it too is cheap to feed. So it's a tie.

I love sentimental guns...so many cool stories to go with them:).Of coarse it is even better when they work well but still...Even if a weapon works tremendously well and you know that it can be counted on to get the job done, sometimes they are just a tool. Cold and lacking in that something special.;):)
