Interesting to read this just after getting back from the range and trying the WWB out for the second time in my SW 5906. The Smith is relatively new, less than 1000 rounds put through it, and is well maintained. I usually practice with UMC and Hydra-shok, and I've honestly never had any problems with them.
Tried them for the first time last week, and had two FTE's which concerned me a little...
But today, I loaded up the WWB in six mags, 4 ten round, 2 15 round. 2 of the ten rounders had an FTE after three or four shots. One of the 15 rounders had an FTE at round number 6. So, we're not talking spring problems. I don't believe I was handling the gun any differently, i.e., limp wristing or anything...
I extracted the spent casings. After using up the WWB in that current load, went back to UMC and Hydra-shoks, no problems. BTW, the UMC and WWB were the same load numbers.
I know some guns just don't like some types of ammo, but this is the first time I ever remember experiencing this.
