Walther PPS

Walther PPS--I like this one cause it wont pull your pants off after a long day of carry. Its accurate. Its as small as most .380's but with the more potent 9mm round. It can also be had in a .40 S&W. I never thought I would like a tupperware gun since i have been a die hard 1911 fan but, here i am carrying tupperware now! :D

Glock 19 . . . no wait . . .

Glock 17 . . . ya that's the one, no wait, teh G-19 carries easier so . . .

Glock 19, final answer

19, no question. It IS the only 9 I own (though not nearly the only 9 I HAVE owned).

Suggestion: take the top answers given and reconstruct the question as a poll.

My only 9mm is my Glock 26. Its a sub compact and is my deep conceal carry. It has also served as my back up in the past. I put the Pierce extension grip on both of my mags, which really helps me with maintaining a firm grip.

Its very accurate inside of 25 to 30 feet, light weight, easy to slip in an oversized pocket and field strips in less than a minute.

let's not let this die , it will neat to get nearly all our members ideas :
so far it looks like :
.
Glock 30
.
Browning HP 20
.
CZ 15
.
SIG 9
.
S&W 8
.
and half a dozen or so with less than 5
.
what surprised me was LOW choices for Ruger, Beretta, and XD - really thought that was surprising......
.
keep 'em coming

I'd have to say the M & P 9mm...don't actually own it yet, but after handling one, I know it's the right fit for me. I'm encouraged by what others write about it.

Hard to beat a Glock 17 or 19.... There are a lot of nice 9mm's out there. Smith 6906 or 3913 are both great. The Browning Hi Power is legendary, same with the CZ75 / 85. Sig 225 is another great one.

wditto-I agree-

I really thought the XD-M would do better-[Has not been around long enough though] I am Really surprised the CZ has not done better! That would have been my number 2 or 3 choice. Also the lack of choices for SW-MP full size is a surprise to me. The thing I like most about the XD-M is it is built like a Tank-you cannot destroy it, unless you blow it up. The Fact that it is Very Accurate and holds 19+1 is Nice too!

The Best to All!

PS- Where is all the Beretta crowd and Taurus PT92 crowd-You guys need to speak up-Those are Great Guns!

BIG Kimber fan here...

Okay, I can only have 1 9MM handgun? Ever since I got my first handgun I have always been a HUGE Kimber fan. Not putting down Glocks, HKs, Colts, S&W, or whatever else anyone may have but Kimber just feels right to me.

Now, if we're talking for CC purposes ... (which you CANNOT do in my great home state of NJ) ... I pick the Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II. A 3" bull barrel, 8+1 capacity and I just have a thing for Stainless but you could easily lose that version.

For a full size I'd have to go with my baby's close cousin ... a full size 5 inch, stainless, 9MM Kimber Stainless II. ( I have the .45 version but identical otherwise).

Also, I have to add that whether it was for home defense or CC I equip all my pistols with the Crimson Laser Grips. I shoot fine when I'm at the range and I can line up my shot and focus but in the heat of the moment when I may have to shoot from the hip so to speak ... I want to make certain that bullet hits where it needs to.

THANKS FOR READING! BE SAFE!

If you were to make me choose between my G26 and CZ PCR...well I would pick the PCR. The main reason is the Kadet Kit that you can get with the CZ. Kind of like two gun's for one.
