Your local Wal mart limiting ammo yet?

All of mine are. Both of them are limiting to no more than 2 boxes per person.

My local Walmart doesn't have any ammo to limit sales on so it's a relatively moot point. Oddly enough the one caliber that they still had a pretty good supply of, .380ACP, was the most sought after ammo just a few years ago. You couldn't find it anywhere and when you did people were paying over $50 a box at the local gunshows.

The Wal-mart here had some 9mm last week. No limit at that time. Of course all they have now to limit is #71/2 and #8 shot shells.

Local Walmarts have no restrictions, but we have competition - apparently the Sheriff's Dept buys their 9mm from Walmart.

In Oklahoma, they've been limiting it ever since the election. They did the same thing back in 2009 when they first began to re-stock after the 2008 election panic.

2 boxes per customer (regardless of the quantity in that box).

Been to two local Walmarts in the last week and they didn't have much ammo to limit. Of course something could have changed.

Are they keeping their prices reasonable as a result (that is, are they imposing limits instead of panic pricing)?

I doubt I'll ever see a brick of .22 for less then $10 again, but is it 18-ish or much more?

I'm not running short, but I typically throw a brick of .22 in the cart when I'm getting other stuff at Walmart, figuring their computer algorithms will notice that gun-owners buy other stuff also.

I guess I don't have a problem with them limiting for stock reasons when they are running short, if they keep prices reasonable as a result. The obvious free market solution is for them to jack up prices till it stops selling too fast, and I suspect we'd get more complaints on that.

The only ammo my local Walmart has is some fudd rifle hunting ammo and some 22 rat shot.......plenty of shotgun ammo though....chris3

Mine has lots of ammo with no limits on purchase.
They are out of 9mm, 40 S&W. They have some
22lr, 45acp, .223. Plenty of the hunting calibers, like
243, 300WM, 30-30, 3006. Tons of shotgun ammo.

My buddy behind the counter limits it depending on the person standing at the counter. If they walk up and ask for .223 7.62 etc and follow with gimmie all you have the ammo magically disappears...lol.... if someone ask or a couple of boxes they get it and I've seen ppl leave with as many as six when they ask but if you ask for it all you get NONE. He told me the store doesn't have a limit but he is as ticked about folks clearing shelves and reselling at triple as the rest of us so he does what he can to prevent that.

Our local one is out of all the most common sizes...the manager told me that they don't expect any more to come in. Guess I HAVE to drive 50 miles to the nearest Cabela's....

Two box limit!!...thats pretty tight. Bring a non shooting friend with you so you'll be able to get more. My Wal-mart is basically out of ammo, just a couple boxes of 7mm mag. and some .22 mag. The limit is 5 boxes per customer.

Two box limit on specific calibers in most NE Arkansas stores. The store manager says that demand is outstripping the supply.

In the three stores I've visited in the area there is simply not enough inventory to make the trip worthwhile. All were out of .223, 9mm, 45 ACP, and .22 LR.

3 out of 4 within 15 miles of home have limit 2, none of them have much stock.

This panic makes me very glad I picked up 250rnds of shotgun ammo at a yard sale for 10 bucks. Never thought id see buying like this.

Oh and that ten bucks also included a new 26" barrel for my !ossberg!
Gotta love when tennants move out and leave stuff behind.
