Your local Wal mart limiting ammo yet?

No limit, but they've been sold out of all almost everything since the Connecticut shooting. Last year when I was trying to buy .223 or 5.56 ammo, they sold out quickly. This was before any of the tragic murders. I was lucky enough to lay up a supply so that I'd have some for shooting and cases for reloading. Wish I had bought more.

Nothing to limit. They have plenty of 12 gauge, but nothing else.

Our WalMart has never had much in the way of ammo, kind of surprising given the high percentage of firearm ownership around here.

My local WM is out. In going to the mountains this weekend and will pass through some small towns Hopefully I can find something...anything. Need 308 223 40 45 357 9. Ball or hp.

I think all Walmarts within an hour have been out of common ammo(except 40, 45, 30-06) for a month...

wow Colorado handgunner, I thought we had it bad. At least we have some stuff on the shelves. It does appear that you have some federal bulk shotgun loads though down on the left.

I'm very glad that I stocked up over the past few years. I had a feeling something was coming down the line. Here in Idaho the gunstores and at least my local Wal-Mart have vast stretches of empty shelves. Ammo and guns. Doesn't matter.

Checkman... stockpiling is fine and all but if you actually use your stock you need to restock... So, depending on how big your horde is you may feel the pain...

No limits here and you can still get everything. You may have to go to a few different stores to get every type but there are five within ten miles of me. Now Cabela's is limiting purchases. I forget the ammo limit. But primers were 2k, powder is 2#s and brass is limited to 200 cases.

Talked to a friend that works in a Wally World Dist. Center yesterday. There is ammo stacked to the hills in their warehouse. They ship it same as always wil no shortages or interrruptions in their supply:neener:. Catch is though they are not shipping any extra to stores just pre panic size orders. It's not that they ain't getting it it's just getting gobbled up as soon as it hits the shelves:banghead:. Well in some instances it never makes it to the shelf cause the dang employees set it to the side, purchase it themselves with their employee discount then sell it privately at uber inflated prices.:fire:

The situation's a little better here.

Ammo for all the usual hunting calibers (.243, .270, 30-30, 30-6), 12 Ga. birdshot, .22 Short, .22 Mag, .32 ACP, defensive ammo for .380, .40 S&W and .45 ACP (no FMJ for the above pistol calibers) is in stock.

Nothing at all in .22LR, 9mm, .223 or 7.62x39.

went to the local gander mtn to buy some 22 ammo. they wouldn't sell me a brick or 10 boxes. They said thier not allowed to sell a brick, but it was on the shelf that way. I could buy individual boxes but not 10. I was so confused by that time I just picked some bulk ammo that still amounted to 1,000 rounds. Go figure?

Was in the local WalMart, Central Arizona, a few days ago. They had some ammo, but not a lot. They also had a new sign taped to the ammo case limiting ammo sales to one box per customer, They did have some ammo of various calibers in stock, including 4 or 5 boxes of 9MM. They allowed me to purchase one box of 9MM...

I actually support them limiting boxes right now. I was at a wal mart before they started limiting the ammo and saw a guy I know who works for a local gun shop buy ALL of their 9mm, x39, and what was left of the .223 the Day of the tragedy. I know for a fact he went and sold it on gunbroker for probably 3x what it is worth. At least with the limit, we have a fighting chance to buy some before the vendors do.

Went to the other Walmart in town, the one without guns, and they had a little .380, decent amount of shotgun ammo, and less common rifle ammo, but no .22 or handgun ammo other than a few boxes of Russian .380.

Stopped at Gander, no .22 LR other than ratshot. They did have some bulk boxes of .38 SPL target ammo with a discount for 3, so I bought 3.

Decided, what the heck, I'll put a few well placed shots through the .300 Win Mag and .454 Casull this weekend. At least I can find ammo for them. Also picked up some .177 pellets for my air rifle - shooting is shooting after all, right?
