A question for you guys...

I own several, different AK variants. What I do not have in my collection is an underfolder or a Yugo.

I think, given the choice, I would purchase a Yugo OPAP. Can not seem to find this one in an underfolder anymore.

I can find an NPAP and a Century M70AB2. I know initially there were problems with the NPAP. We all know that once upon a time there were potentially numerous problems with Century products. Century seems to have come around and is paying much more attention to QC.

The Century M70-AB2 can be had for $499.00. U. S. made 1.5 mm RPK receiver and U. S. made barrel.

The NPAP can be found from $579.00 to around $650.00. 1.00mm standard receiver (Trunnion??) and standard non CLB

Opinions will differ, I understand...

Which would you choose to buy and why?? Do any of you own these particular rifles?

I own 2 Yugo underfolders from CAI and am very pleased. Never an issue with either one.

I've shot a couple of the M70-AB2s and they've both been well built and fun to shoot. I would have no problems recommending one to someone.

As you noted, neither rifle has a CLB and the M70 has a thicker receiver. Also, the M70 is assembled from a parts kit whereas the NPAP is built in Serbia and then just has the mag well opened up and the 922r compliance parts added by Century.

The NPAP lacks the grenade sights and bayonet lug too if that's a concern for you.

I think the fit and finish of the NPAP will be slightly better and the rifle is a little lighter; the M70s are a little hefty.

My opinion, I'd get the M70 just because it's the actual military weapon and I find it more historically interesting. I really don't think you can go wrong with either one though.
