I had a 19 go back to them with heavy slide peening after 500 rounds. It was in Smyrna for 6 months. I was lied to around 25 times about where my gun was and when it would return. In the end I got a new gun, with no explanation.
I love Glocks, only own Glocks, and have too much time and money...
Vern,
I use wooden jigs. Two strips of .5" thick poplar glued to plywood, spaced far enough apart to accommodate a third strip and the width of the kydex which is to be wrapped around it.
I find the key to making them look neat is in the finishing steps. I sand the edges square and then...
OMB Express frequently puts their Streamlight TLR-1s on sale for around $90 and its 160 lumens. I carry one on a Glock 19 IWB everyday. The TLR-3 is a bit smaller, around $75, and at 120 lumens it's still brighter than the CT offering.
For half the price of the CT laser grip and light-guard...
Apparently, based on every American Classic thread I've ever read, Metro Arms is putting out two variations of this gun. One has superb fit and finish that rivals top tier custom guns, the other is a hunk of ill fit cast garbage.
I unfortunately gambled on one of these on an impulse buy. The bore looked like it had been made in a shack in Pakistan. Very shallow rifling, deep scratches and gouges running the entire length of the barrel. The rear sight fell off on the first range trip. The frame also had lots of issues...
Not to pee in your pool, but Secret City, Personal Security Systems, and Cane & Derby all make dual color holsters.
That said, looks good! What's your reasoning for using the rubber washers between the screw post and belt loop? I put mine between the loop and holster body to give a little flex...
I attempted making my own leather belt from scratch using materials from Tandy. It looked great and worked well for a while but ended up stretching pretty quickly. Whether it was the chemicals used in the tanning process on cheaper leather or the wrong cut I don't know.
I ended up going back...
How did your experiment go? I found it's not that difficult but you'll end up spending way more than you thought you would.
Here's my first attempt. Glock 19 and TLR-1s. I've been carrying it everyday for the past 3 months. It disappears under a t shirt.
This. I carried my glock 19 with one of Dale's Zachs for a few months AIWB, but I was never fully comfortable with it. I ended up tethering it inside the glove box of my car.
Make sure and look it over VERY closely. I appear to be in the minority, but my AC II was an abomination.
The rear sight fell off on the first range trip. The bore was appallingly rough; filled with gouges and machine marks, with extremely shallow lands. The frame was too short; every grip I...
I had numerous ( 2-3 per 100) dead primers in the 5000 case of Wolf LP primers I bought from Wideners; used in a Glock 36, Kimber, and a Ruger Vaquero.
They seem to work fine for most, but I won't be buying any more.
Glock will refinish the slide for $40, but I'd recommend against it. I sent one of mine in to have it done on March 8 and still haven't received it back.
I've gotten wildly varying reports as to it's current status, but from my last phone call, I'm starting to believe their refinisher lost my...
How does the front of the magwell on the pistol version not qualify as a vfg?
If I were to add a vfg to an AR or AK pistol I'd be making it an AOW, correct?
