I'm seriously considering a Ruger 1911 10 mm. I have recently gotten into 10 mm and very much like my Glock 20. I do notice the Glock 20 full size provides some challenges for keeping high-powered defensive rounds On Target. Mine also has the tendency to do an unintended double tap possibly from recoil and muzzle jump.
The Ruger 1911 looks great has a good trigger and would weigh more and presumably reduce muzzle jumping recoil .
It's advertised sort of as a hunting pistol. Is that realistic?
I hunt occasionally with a 454 Casull and 357 Magnum the 454 usually Sports an Ultradot.
What is your thoughts and experience with the Ruger 1911 10 mm I can get one for about $750 new.
All my other autoloaders are pretty much striker-fired I don't have any 1911 I know others seem to be crazy about them they've never appealed to me much but this one does.
