Man this crowd is getting hostile. We're supposed to be giving this gentleman advice as to the pros and cons of buying a 10mm or revolver, what our experiences are and maybe try and help him come to his own decision. Yet here we are arguing about whose numbers are right in terms of ballistics.
I don't see it that way. Someone is trying to make an informed decision based on facts and opinions of other experienced people. If one of those people posts something that is incorrect, I feel that the item in question should be corrected so that the OP can make a fully informed decision.
Let's say that someone posted (hypothetically) that a 10mm was ballistically similar in power to a .338 Lapua. If no one corrected this, the OP may buy a 10mm under the false impression that his handgun would have .338 Lapua capabilities.
Although no one is going to that extent, some people are overstating the abilities of the round, when the numbers (facts) clearly show the truth. I know Gryffydd has seen the .41 mag comparison about 50 times. I've seen him correct it quite a bit, backed up by numbers.
When I was shopping for a 10mm and doing research I appreciated him (and others) stating facts so that I knew exactly what I was getting.
