Seems lately I rise in the morning, brew a pot of coffee, pour a cup then spend the next two hours or more sitting in the easy chair checking “new posts” on the THR. Reading and responding to more than my share. Of course this leads to checking out others links on the web or YouTube.
Well my excuse is it’s informative as well as entertaining.

Happy New Year to all. I’ll be back tomorrow morning.

It can be addictive.

Lately I find it far more entertaining than a lot of things in my life.

Dang! You've been looking at me, except you forgot to let the dogs out. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I follow a similar routine. I think of it as an indulgence not a bad habit. (It may be addicting.) One of the many benefits of being retired. And it's quiet. An old dog and my aging bladder ensure I'm awake early, anyway, so this lets me check the various firearms forums without disturbing my wife. The dog gets fed, I get caffeinated and informed and my wife gets more sleep. Win win win.

I check in, back & forth as I use the computer for research.

It keeps my mind agile shifting gears so regularly.

I used to do this with a MotoGuzzi forum and a couple of fraternal groups on fasebooq. Got too damn aggravating having politics CONTINUALLY edge into issues.

Here - excepting firearms laws - I am able to completely avoid the issue.

Now, back to transit-geometry!
Or not.

The forum is infested with Boomers i guess. My morning routine is shower, cheerios, coffee, work.

Work days I may check the forum once or twice during the day, a lot of times not till I get home from work.

Weekends I'm a little more regular checking in.

Either way I'd much rather be running drills shooting in the back yard or turning on the lathe in the garage and I often am doing one or the other.

But I do like checking in. For me though it's not a pot of coffee in the morning (dont drink coffee) but a cold beer after putting in a long day. Like to see what folks are talking about on here.

Same here. Even though hard times has forced the sale of all but my much loved model 65, I'm here every morning, 7 days a week while having coffee. And I drop in a few times a day as well.

Member for very many years, very low post count. Guess you can say I try not to open my mouth unless I can add to the conversation.

Happy New Year everyone.
