what I want to know is why somebody doesn't make a 3x prism scope designed to be mounted on a 10/22 or marlin lever, or any carbine that doesn't need a huge scope.
Anything not an AR.
Compact, simple reticle, and if we can dump illumination and have lightweight as well that would be amazing. Why every prism scope is designed with a riser is beyond me.
edit: actually, it looks like MAYBE the new vortex spitfire gen 2 has a low mount option. but I don't like the reticle and I cannot actually find a picture or the low mount installed anywhere on the internet. So perhaps it is mythical: like an honest politician, one size fits all, 22lr in stock.
