I should note that I did not buy that knife, but rather my wife and son gave it to me as a birthday gift.
The road to recovery begins when one admits they have a problem.
Thats a beauty!I was on the wagon for a couple of months, feeling proud of myself. I saw this:

Not my last knife purchased. ....but a new pic of a recent purchase....
My new hunting knife, an Eafengro flipper. Orange g10 scales and D2 blade. I prefer folders for hunting because I often wear bibs.

Posted in memory of Doc.
RIP, old soldier.
I've accidentally cut the neck off a couple of bottles with 440c.I'll point out that Bohler N695, is the equivalent of 440C. Nothing wrong with 440C if properly heat treated.
Why did I have to see this........... lolHow about the knife I’m saving for I’ll get it this month.

Very nice. Last knife bought was a used BM mini gryptilian for my wife. All of my knives were bought secondhand, except for few Great Eastern knives that have doubled in value in a few years.
My EDC is a Chris Reeve small Sebenza made in Idaho. I sharpen on a belt sander, nice convex edge. These newer alloys are incredible. S35VN on this one I think. Also carry a BM 940 Osborne, but use it more for utility than the Reeve, so it dulls and sits there until I get around to sharpening. It has great CPM blade also, but if you cut boxes open, it will dull
I just sold a Great Eastern folder for over $250 on Ebay. I think I may do more selling than buying right now. 440c on them, and I agree, it is a great steel for the right tasks.
@SteadyD , how's that Para 3 working out? Great knife.
