A few weeks ago I modded an EGW rail meant for a Ruger American Rimfire to make it fit this Marlin 25N. I had to file a bit of a groove down the middle of the rail to see the sights, but the real reason for the rail was for some red dot shootin'. Popped a new Bushnell TRS-25 on it and away I went.

Man, this gun makes me smile when I go shootin' it. Cheap ammo, feeds perfectly, shoots accurately, nice controlled ejection, all on a cool sunny day. Good times, good times.

I use the DIP rail on mine, was cheaper than drilling it (I don’t trust myself with little taps). Been rock solid for 18 years.

We didn’t make you but will ask for a full review or just results from the adapter.
We are gonna need a full write up on that. Curious about the sights.
Ive actually had this set up for about a year i think, i just lopped the barrel down to 18.5" yesterday after reading thru the thread.

Parts are a Dickinson Ranger, chazel 11" 9mm insert, and tru glow clamp on turkey sights.

Ill put a real post together soon hopefully. Need to actually sit down an shoot groups with the thing. With the adapter Id GUESS its capable of 2-3" groups at 50yds. I was murdereding my buddys soft .22 spinner with it the last time we were out.
This is shooting 147gr cast bullets, and it was surprisingly quiet with that long bloop toob....
Well before i lopped of 5.5" dunno now.

I do wanna see what it will do with slugs and buckshot, and how close the patter is to the sights......want less bulky sights also....

I've been intrigued by the usefulness of shotgun barrel adapters for years, but never put my money down to try it out. And I sold my last shotgun in 2021.

I sure am looking forward to your findings with that set up. It looks very handy.

what does that rear sight attach to?

For those not following my thread, my Marlin Papoose is coming along nicely. Almost ready for paint. Only 16" long when taken down.

I have this stainless camo version of the 10/22 Takedown in its original pack that you see here. I would use it to get back to one of the other two guns I posted above. It is however very fun to shoot and pretty darn accurate. I have colored the red Ruger Logo black, using a permanent marker since this picture. Before I got my Savage bolt .22, this gun accompanied me into the woods many times for some small game hunting.
