    Sharing some chrono results

Mine took a hot 45 Colt load about a month ago and kept on ticking. Since then, I stopped stacking targets to save running down range to adjust the chrony.

How do you guys clean your brass?

Yes to all (Sorry for the late reply). For my guns though, I use Simple Green for the stainless parts and Simple Green Blue (Aerospace) for anything that might contain aluminum. An additional bonus is that I can fit a bicycle cassette in it as well for cleaning. I put a ton of miles on by...

How do you guys clean your brass?

Two steps for me: 1) Ultrasonic cleaner with a squirt of Dawn dish soap and some Lemi-Shine (~48 Mins) 2) Tumble in corn or walnut media (~ 12 - 24 hrs) Spotless, shiny brass. Ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight. I researched the rotary tumbler with the stainless steel pins but opted out...

    W231 for 45ACP

What I find odd is that I can't find W231/HP-38 anywhere, however, I have Bullseye and Power Pistol available with no limits locally. I actually prefer W231/HP-38. Funny, I see you aren't that far away from me either.

    Stepping up to progressive

I too am upgrading to a progressive this xmas after swearing I'd never need anything more than my single stage hornady. I went with the Hornady, got it on Cyber Monday at Amazon for $379 with free two day shipping as I am a prime member. I get most of my other stuff from a Midway, but Midway...

Soaking brass cartridges in diluted vinegar

In my sonic cleaner, for brass I use: Lemi Shine Dab of Dawn Dish Soap Brass comes out "wicked clean". I tumble it for about an hour (or overnight if it's my last batch) to dry and finalize the polish. Since I switched over, my brass inside and out is spotless. I never messed with the...

    Very disappointed in Hornady today

I've not had any problems with emailing their Tech Support. I've never tried to call them so I can't help you there. Around the holidays, I'd cut most places a lot of slack as I'm not the only one on vacation ;-)

Have you ever thought about getting out of reloading???

No. I stock very few rounds. I prefer to load up what I intend to shoot with a little extra in case I decide to shoot more ;-)

    Have you seen this thread?

WooHoo! Got my first batch of reloading done! Some questions.....

With the Hornady kit, I assume you have the Hornady thrower. Have you broken it down completely and degreased it thoroughly? I had to do this three times with mine. On top of that I use that anti-static spray for clothing to keep the powders from sticking due to static cling. When you empty...

    shelving for reloading die boxes?

No shelving here, I chose to build a custom drawer to hold my Hornady dies. I have a wooden stop on the right side that I adjust when I add new dies. It needs to be readjusted after this holiday season. Works much better than a shelf.

    Hornady Auto Charge Review

Make sure to spray it down with that anti static spray ( I think mine is for clothing). Powder just falls right out when I empty it when I'm done. Make sure to ask for a McDonalds straw as a stocking stuffer too.

    Hogdon Powders ?

Any particular powder(s)? I see a lot of Hodgdon powders at gun shops. I even scored 2 lbs of Varget and 3 lbs of BL-C2 in the past week. Now IMR 4895 is a tough one to find...
