Pass a NICS check and fill out your 4473 and out you go!

In about five to fifteen minutes you'll be able to Locke and load and put it in your pants.... though I do recommend a holster! [emoji12][emoji106]

When I got my first one about 20+ years ago it was nothing more than a printed court order signed by the Circuit Court Judge. Imagine an 8 1/2 x11 sheet of paper saying you were now authorized by law to carry a concealed weapon. Most people had them reduced and laminated while keeping the original on file at home.

My wife just got her WA renewal CPL, it now actually fits in a wallet and, it came with it's own lamination kit. I renewed mine a couple months earlier and it still needed trimming and special lamination at Kinkos to get it to mostly fit in a wallet. Progress I guess, who knows, maybe next time it'll have picture on it too.

In Louisiana, they are nearly identical to the LA Driver's License. In fact, they even use the D/L photo on the CCW permit.
