I'm afraid to take a guess, but will say under 50K, and most of that in the last 20 years. I've never shot competitively, just informally, and for a lot of years couldn't afford tons of ammo so my overall number is probably a lot lower than many. I used to do a lot of dove hunting and would go through several hundred rounds each season, but I haven't done that in many years. I've always been more of a hunter than shooter, but lately I've had more time to just shoot.

In the last 20 years, especially the last 10 I've been able to afford more ammo and had the time to shoot a lot more. I'm more of a rifle shooter with some handguns thrown in. Shotgun shooting is not that big of a factor for me.

Have no idea. Wouldn’t be millions. Did shoot a lot of Uncle Sam’s ammo over a 24 year period. Plus civilian shooting since about 1970. Couldn’t even make a decent guess, though.

Wonder where Jerry Miculek rates on the civilian world stage for most rounds fired? #1? #100?

I shot and hunted as a kid but have really only come back to shooting and hunting in the last 10 years. I started reloading and am now shooting a lot more but I have a lot of ground to make up for the lost years I did not shoot.

I have shot a lot in my life time but I am not sure I can put an accurate number on it. It is certainly in the 6 figures but how far would be hard to say. The more interesting and likely more tractable question/poll would be what is the most you have shot in one day.

It would be impossible for me to determine the answer to that question, especially since I have been shooting for over 40 yrs. I do know that I have spent a whole lot of money on ammo. Thinking about HOW much money is kinda of scary. Maybe that is why I have been ordering a whole lot of 22.cal lately.I like to shoot often, but it has come time to cut back on the enormous cost. And what the heck, I love shooting 22.cal. My LCR22 has had such a workout for the past 5 yrs or so, I realized it is my most fun gun to shoot. Time to get another one and sell some of the others off.

Seriously guys...if our wives found out that number and then factored in the cost, they would triple their beauty salon visits and start going to a day spa 7 times a week...I'm just saying, might be better left unsaid.

Yeah, then ask her how many pairs of shoes she has bought in her lifetime...."Uh, um...well..."

But yeah, I learned from my wife. Her answer to that question is the same as mine for how many firearms I own. I'm not sure, it doesn't matter, just complement me on the next pair I bring home.

I've been shooting since I was really young, Can't really say how much i've shot in my 3 1/2 decades on this planet. For the last 5 or 6 years I've shot somewhere in the range of 10k yearly. I try to go the the range weekly, and usually send about 200 down range. This year not so much with everything that is going on. Hopefully this week I can make it back to my normal routine

It would be very difficult to give an exact total of my own past 40+ years of shooting but I have had a couple exceptional days that stand out so I can fairly accurately tell you the most of a few different cartridges I have fired in one setting. Shooting over 2000 rds in one day makes an impression on ones mind and body.

I voted 0 to 5k. I might be above 5k but I doubt it’s by much. I shot a lot more in my younger days but for the last 5 years or so I’m averaging 100-200 a year.

Hard to say for sure, but I would say 100-250K.
Never really thought about counting, but I know I have over 30k thru my one 9mm 1911, so with all the Jr rifle club as a child, trap in my young days and USPSA now,
I sure I am over 100k.

Didn't do a ton of shooting until I started reloading, so looking at the reloading supplies I've consumed since then I'm guessing the 10-25k range, probably closer to 20k at this point.

Don't shoot much .22 at all.

There have been many days where I have shot 500 rds. However, I tend to get sloppy toward the end. I prefer to have more shooting sessions in a week rather than just one session of a lot of rounds. Just me.

I'm guessing somewhere in the middle of 10-25k. Probably closer to 15k.

Unless we're counting bb guns. I couldn't even guess how many 5,000 count cartons of copperhead bb's my parents bought me as a kid, but it's well into the double digits.

I guessed 1-2 million because I started shooting when I was 5 and began competitive shooting when I was 13. In the Corps I was an Infantry Rifleman who was CQB and DM qualified and spent a lot of time with belt fed weapons in training. Afterward I got back into competitive shooting heavily and actually put so many rounds through a 1911 that I had to replace the barrel due to wear and had the frame break somewhere around 75k rounds, it's replacement ended up with somewhere in the neighborhood of 25k through it when I sold it the next year.

I can,t remember how many firearms I own. You want me figure out how many rounds in over 50 years of shooting?? I remember important thing like our anniversary, wife's birthday and what side the filler tube is on our two SUVs. And they are on opposite sides!

You remember the anniversary :what:man I better kick it up a notch :uhoh:

My primary interest is rifle shooting, with a mix of rimfire and centerfire. Centerfire doesn't lend itself to particularly high volume, especially hunting type rounds. My best guess is 100-150K, the vast majority of it rimfire. There's some cartridges I'd be thrilled if I ever shot 100 rounds of, as that implies I hunted a bunch of huge stuff.

Bricks, wood crates, cardboard cases and occasional spam cans do add up! Like others it used to be common to burn through 500 to 1000 22LR in an afternoon. The chinese and russian surplus certainly kept me busy over the years, too. Haven't had a gun fail headspace, but worn out pleny of
springs and small parts.

It's hard to guess because I did go a few years without pulling a trigger on anything, and a few years of shooting maybe twice a year with no more that 200 rounds fired. But I've also burnt up 10,000 rounds of 22s in a period of a little over a month more than once. Then there was shooting clay birds every weekend for several months...been shooting a couple hundred rounds each of .45 and .38 Super at least twice a week for the last few months. Can't fathom shooting 100,000 rounds cause that's a lot, but then it's like " I just loaded 500 rounds and they're gone already?"
