Marine Corps to replace all pistols with the SIG M17

In addition to risking a slide in the face, the low hand on the grip is a dead giveaway. I see a lot of actors do that but never in a Michael Mann movie. ;)

I knew a marine who was involved in the hill 861 activity and he told me the stories about the failures of the newly issued M16s. Regrettably he is no longer with us.

Depends who you ask. I've trained under plenty of combat vets who think it works just fine. Have yet to meet one that doesn't think so actually.

And it's a Navy Corpsman and not a Marine. (Total respect for Corpsman - we had a few in Battalion)

Our Corpsman carried M16's and used them. Probably why they were not welcome is navy clubs.
