One 9mm

Victor252:

Nice cartoons about the CZ owners.

When you say "....men of culture" , this type of comment on Youtube usually applies to men who 'appreciate' the polished 'style' of tall , slender young women wearing yoga pants!
Or shooting guns while prone.....

9mm are for compact light carry. So the best in that category for me is P365XL.

Otherwise 10mm is best mm.

;)

There was a time when I would have said Smith and Wesson Model 39-2, but I let my last one go some years ago. These days I fill the same niche with a CZ-75-D PCR.

I'm old fashioned enough to love the fact that it's an all metal (aluminum frame), hammer fired, DA/SA, with no rail. I even like the squared off trigger guard. Very 1980ish.

It's also a VERY good gun.

I have owned 7 Glocks. I still own 3. I have a G45 and two Gen 3 Glock 34s. The 4 that I no longer own were a G34, G19, G26 and a G19X. I do not care for the G19 or the G26. I have big hands. I sold them. I gave the G19X to my son-in-law and I stupidly sold my first G34.
I have fired numerous other 9mm handguns and I prefer the Glocks. I am not what some people term a “fanboy”, a term I see as a slight or an insult. Truthfully, I will take a revolver over a semiauto any day. I prefer them.

If I could have only one 9mm it would be one of my G34s.

If you could have just one 9mm pistol, which would you choose?

Do not overthink this. Whatever the situation is, you can have just one 9mm pistol. That means you could swap it for another. Assume that the limit is not legal, but for some sort of personal reason such as being a diehard Browning fan keeping a little bit of sin on the side in secret.

Normally I would type P226 automatically but, having given it some thought and given the CEK and versatility of the P320 ... I'd have to go with one of my P320s.

Love my P226s, got a few, but these P320s are really growing on me. So modular and so versatile and moldable. The sky is the limit with these things.

ETA: My EDC piece is a Shield EZ, one of the originals. I like them a lot but if I had to limit it to only one I want more capacity.

Quite a few new 9's have come along since I bought my SR9c... none have inspired me to replace it. Yeah, I've added a few - but not replaced.

Gen 5 Glock 19
Yes that ! With the MOS in use with a good optic and suppressor height sights and a good threaded and rifled barrel , that is my go to final stash 9mm . I have shot it and other Glocks to feel very protected by it and it wont let me down I'msure. In the meantime there are many others I love NOW .

I’ve considered a threaded barrel, and because of my eyes I’m stuck with a Holosun (until someone else makes a green circle and dot that’s better quality) and it’s due a set of Talon Pros.

But it’s close :)

That said, because of my eyes and a general distrust of electronics, I prefer the Glock 19 without the dot and simple Ameriglo CAP sights on it.

Although I don’t own one anymore I would have to agree with Old Dog above and go with a SIG P226 Legion. I really liked mine and only sold it to pick up an original, unfired West German P226. The Legion model, though, to me, has it all. A superlative SA trigger pull, easy to see sights and fabulous grips make for a great range shooting pistol, but it’s great night sights and legendary SIG reliability make it also a good pick for “worst case” scenarios.

Of my currently owned 9mm pistols it’s a tough choice, but I’d probably go with my P7.
