That’s kinda neat I guess but almost $1k mslp is absolutely laughable. I’d probably buy one at $350 or so. Really hard to imagine what ruger was thinking putting the development time into this when we have all been begging for a 10mm PCC or lever action.
Also the aesthetics look like joint venture between keltec and high point.
You nailed their formula -- take a blowback carbine that costs $100 to make and sell it for $1000. All it takes is a novel cartridge to make people think it's a thing and wrap it in black-gun tactical aesthetics and it will sell. Development time? How much of that is there for a fixed-barrel blowback gun? Even the magazine was already done.
