What new firearm would you like to see made?

Rossi 92's with 24" round barrels or octagonals with historical taper and thus dont weigh as much as railroad ties.
Regular production 1892 by win/miroku.
Rossi 92 in 480 ruger to be produced again.
Box fed pump action 22LR like the old Aussie sportco variants.

I realize this is just a fun thread but 98% of the guns requested here would be abysmal failures commercially.
Which is probably why they don't exist. A ton of obscure calibers mainly and bringing back dogs like the H&K VP70,

I had a VP70 for a short while, it was a terrible pistol, heavy, clunky, awful trigger, low capacity. Not much to like there.
But if it has H&K stamped on it, almost any gun will sell even if it's pointless or bad.

Not new designs but more like new production of some old models:

1) HK P7.
2) HK P4 in all four calibers.
3) Colt Detective Special in .327 FM, and .38 Special.
4) Colt Diamondback in .22, .327 FM, and .38 Special.
5) Colt New Frontier in .22 and .327 FM.
6) Ruger Six Series.

I think it would be amazing to have:

Ruger Blackhawk
.357 mag
4" or 5" barrel
Double & single actions

It would be great to have a Single action 6 gun to shoot cowboy style and a Double action to use incase of self defense as with bear or 2 legged threats. I know that you could just get a ruger gp100 or smith & Wesson sa/da but it would be nice to have that in a 6 gun.

HK VP70 had a 18rd mag capability, and that was in the 70’s. It’s not as heavy as say a 1911. And, it’s a BLAST to shoot, has a very fast cycle rate and a zippy sound when fired.

I own one and I love it. Even carried it once because I forgot to bring my other guns.

1911 or plastic special in 7.62x25 or a modern bolt gun in 7.62x54r, perhaps even with a heavier barrel.

A 762x25 pistol

7.62x25mm DI or piston AR-15 pistol

The continued interest in .30 Commie Pistol, .30 Commie Long (also .30 Commie Short) surprises me.
Back when surplus was common and cheap, I sort of understood the wish for a "modern" gun to shoot it, but now you have to buy ammo. What's the gain?

The 7.62x25mm is an ideal PDW round. You get a round perfect for the most typical 25-150 meter fight, in a cartridge less than 6mm longer than a 9x19mm.

What is your PDW? I think of it as a small SMG.

I don't think an American or Western European manufacturer thinks there is enough business to stretch an action by that silly 6mm. At least they haven't yet and this keeps on coming up. Maybe they don't read the gun boards.

And yet, I am currently talking to a manufacturer who is working on a PCC "pistol" firing a cartridge that length: in fact, I sent him some PPs43 mags to try. Ruger also just came out with a 5.7 x 28 mm "carbine". The only thing preventing that from being a PDW is barrel length.

CMMG makes small "pistols" or SBRs in 2 cartridges longer than 7.62x25mm, but shorter than 5.56x45mm: PDWs. Just because no one is currently making a PDW in this caliber doesn't mean that it's not easily done, or a goal worth doing. IMO, an AR-15 based SBR in 7.62x25mm would have made much more sense than the 5.7x28 P90, and have cost less than half as much per unit- with identical manual of arms to the existing US service rifle.

I assumed the gun also implied renewed ammo manufactur.

Iron Curtain clips, too. That would be easier than a real pistol.
What is "a cartridge that length"?

Well, strange things do happen.
Gun and ammo companies would have to conspire... as they have done on other introductions.

.

Well, if I wanted to give the specific cartridge, I would have. I will say, I have already mentioned to the rep that, if they successfully make one of their "pistols" (PDWs or "microcarbines", I call these braced long-barreled "pistols"), in this caliber, they will have done almost all the work to make one in 7.62x25mm, too.

3" six-shot Ruger LCRx in .327. Same as I wanted last time.
Seems to me that they have all the right parts in production already.

Or bring back the Six Series DA/SA in polymer? Ruger doesn't have a true mid size revolver. You go from LCR and SP101 to GP100 brick. Make it in usual calibers, .327, .357 and 9mm. I believe it would be a seller considering how well LCR seies is doing.

I think a XDS/M&P Shield in 10mm would make a nice hiking carry (little hand ouch though).

A S&W L frame in 41mag .

A left handed short action Howa/Vanguard similar in size to a Rem M7.

Winchester 1907 chambered in 350Legend (sense that would be a big dream let's make available in right and left handed models)

I want to see a 9mm on a polymer frame striker fired double stack magazine. I can believe no one has made one yet
