What have you done in the reloading room today

Got home, cranked up my new “Winter Walkin’: The complete Chet Atkins Christmas collection” album and I got enough 9mm brass decapped to start another load in the tumbler. I’ve now switched to Christmas with DoyleDykes upstairs, but the tumbler almost drowns it out. lol. View attachment 1185581Glad to have the room back on the bench this trophy rack took up! Now the dremel stand and the gun vice can move so I don’t smack my funny bone when I’m decapping!!View attachment 1185582
Pulled together enough ready to run 9mm to fuel a Christmas Range session. Need to work up some more loads for Dads 1911… I’m off next week so that’s a project for then. I’m gonna try cfe pistol. I have an autocomp recipe too. And of course the Longshot standby…
CFE Pistol should run like butter!!! Autocomp should as well. Seems like you have better luck with Longshot than me though... But let me know how the CFE load runs in your dad's 1911!!
I've used three different 230gr bullets and they all worked flawlessly with the CFE load.

Obligatory shiny brass picture.
All 9mm except for a random 10mm case i found. And 3 357 mag cases I threw in… just for the memory of “old blood and guts”… Rip Patton (11/11/1885-12/21/1945)

Shot 100 .38 Special and reloaded a hundred more. Been testing out these Everglades 158 grain RNFP.

Went by Wally World on the way home and found this!!!!

So based on the introduction to Ramshot Grand, it seems like it's literally StaBall HD in a different bottle? Hmmm I'll have to do some research into it.

Today was fairly warm so I got out to the garage and transferred the rest of the lead that was in milk crates to its new home in the truck toolbox. I moved a total of 10 milk crates of 1# ingots. Most were full and the others were mostly full. A full one will hold 700# if they are stacked in there neatly and these were. I would say that I am through but we all know that we are never through!

What is this bottom you speak of? 🤣🤣

I grabbed some 9mm of the shelf, my tub of unique sizing lube, and my too small collection of 357 mag brass and packed it off in an addition to the bench in a box. Then I bid a tearful and affectionate farewell to my home bench for a few days(ya I’m trying to be a comedian tonight; I’m tired enough to laugh at everything; including my part in practicing the little drummer boy for church😁) and it’s off to some Christmas festivities.

I'm definitely interested in how you like loading 12 gauge! Maybe make a separate thread or something detailing it all?

I have 35 S&W 500 Mag. cases primed and ready for powder. I am waiting for my Lee Crimp Die to arrive. These 500 are for a good friend of mine who has become handicapped. I want to get him out of the house and to the range, so I volunteered to load up some of his 500 mag cases for him. He has only shot factory loads out of his S&W but he did buy dies and 100 virgin double star 500 mag cases but never had the chance to reload them. I used his once fired double star cases.

I also picked up a hand priming tool at the DE Cabela's store a few days ago. I am not really happy with my Redding T7 priming System.

Hornady 350 XTPs. Jake gave me some IMR 4227 and H110. Looking at my powders I also have some Lil'Gun that is listed in the Hornady manual. I think I will work up 3 different powder loads for my buddy to checkout.

Wow 43gr of powder?? That as much as a 308! Sounds pretty wild! Let us know how they shoot!

158 gr. Berry's Thick Plated. 7.0 grs. of Unique. They'll do about 975 FPS from Granny's 4" Security Six.

Might even have to buy a shotgun now, eh...?!?!
My eldest daughter has gotten into shotgunning, so...................................................I'm sure it'll be fun and interesting..... 😁

Went to my LGS and added 4 lbs. of Ramshot Zip to my supplies.
Plus 300 large pistol primers, 200 Swamp Popper 230 grain bullets, and a Lyman impact bullet puller (I lost my old one somewhere).

Recently bought some 7mm bullets and other items from an estate sale.

I haven't loaded any 7mm-08 in a while. Spent almost an hour in the reloading room trying to find the brass I had stashed away. Finally found it. I'll be loading up some test loads this week.

7mm was the bullet before 6.5 came raging back in. Still pondering if 7-08 or 280 does it better.... no time for belted cases.

Very nice bench. Why stop with just the riser? Matching bookcases would give you expansion room. I know there must be more stuff, right? :)
