I'm sure they're coming...but when I'm all decked out in my cycling lycra, nobody is going to be noticing the man purse.....

I used a SunDog brand camera bag for a Glock 19 and extra magazine for a YEAR with no one being the wiser.

I was great, 'cause it had different pockets, and one was dedicated to the 19 and spare mag. Another held a paperback , notebook, etc, in front of the pistola.

Perfection!

Not familiar with the product, however I would think for cycling/hiking etc one of the "belt-bags" listed on that site or a traditional "fanny pack" holster would be better then the one you linked to.

The thing I don't like about a fanny pack is that when its loaded down, it doesn't have any support. Most don't have belt loops to attach to belts, and when I'm in cycling attire I don't have a belt on anyhow. I've actually got a fanny pack, one with a really wide belt and a clip on the back of the bag.

Without any description or photos showing how the pistol is secured or drawn, I would hesitate. The better option, IMO, would be the Wilderness Safe Packer, and you know it's well made in America.

Maxpedition also offers some good bags that would fit the bill, I think.

I firmly believe that personal combat, where a life is on the line, is entirely too serious a business to not be extremely critical of one's capabilities or gear. I think that cannot be stated too strongly.

I use what you would call a....

man purse. It is a slim bag about 6x8 inches with a strap to go over the shoulder. on the strap is a pocket for an extra mag or cell phone. There is a vertical zipper on the large pocket that makes gun access easy. Another pocket will hold a wallet and a third slim pocket holds a notepad and pen. I am a big guy and get a few funny looks but it is easy to carry, especially on my motorcycle. I just swing it around in front of me and rest it on the gas tank. Easy access, even while moving. I wear it over my head and hanging on my left side. Easy to access in a car too.........wife uses the same setup.
There is no room in my waist band for a holster and living in a warm climate, I am in shorts and t shirt most of the time...chris3

I have two of those bags in the first picture, bought them up in Canada at a store called Zellers, similar to Walmart. One has the video/digital camera and bits-n-bobs in it, the other I keep my shooting gear in... :p

Everyone asked what it was, I said matter of fact to them, It's my man purse, I opened it up to show them it was full of ammo etc..

Purses weren't always for women...

Ever ccw in it, and if so, how did it work out? How would you rate the durability of the bag?

+1

I've been quite satisfied with my safepacker. Keeps my SP-101 readily available while hiking, etc, without appearing threatening -- generic black cordura case, could be a GPS, camera, etc. Comes with a sturdy belt loop that can fit over a daypack/camelbak's waistbelt, plus an available shoulder strap too.

Though I think they've gone up $10 in price since I bought mine...

:cuss: it. I ordered it. I shot the owners some emails and I got some good responses.
A) the gun pouch for the handibag has a velcro closure that can easily be opened by one hand
B) it fits the gun(s) I need it to
C) it has two straps. This means i can shoulder it across my chest and have the other strap go around my waist, which should secure it nicely when mountain biking.

It came out to $35 incl. shipping. I promise to post reviews and more pictures when I get it.

The bags I have are pretty durable, I'm quite surprised since they were kind of cheap.

My son ended using one for his toys and tools last year, he is a toddler so it had a fairly enduring field test of being dragged around the yard, filled with rocks, used in the sandbox & left out in the elements.

I have not CC'd in it... but he has been known to keep his water pistol in it :D
